Best response I've ever seen to a post giving a reasoned point of view exactly on the requested topic. $drew$marshall, you are an immediate legend of pointlessness.

Interesting. Still does NOTHING for his standings as a Pro, hope the nuthuggers/ill-informed don't start using this to prove his 'greatness'.

Braehmer holds a win over former p4p top 10 Ricky Hatton as amateur.

Many fighters who are far worse than Braehmer holds wins over people who later went on to become huge ATGs. Doesn't tell a thing - whatsoever.

Hell - Lacy had a great amateur record and was an Olympian. It was said that he had the hardest punch on the american olympic team - even harder than the HW and super HWs. Imagine what story that could have spiralled into as solid and irrefutable proof if Lacy's plane had fallen down or something?

As a pro - reality is that after it became obvious that Gerald couldn't really box that well (after getting outpointed and defeated by two unknowns) they started putting him in with has-beens and no-hopers that he could KO. He basically met two people of any value his entire career. One was naturally smaller and past it - the other knocked him out.

The entire fight? Please it was once or twice and the most blatant rabbit punch came from McClellan when he hit Benn full on the back of the head as he was ducking, he was warned by the ref for it if I remember correctly. Never mind McClellan hitting Benn while he was down (I know someone will bring up Barkley but thats a different story). It was a rough fight from both of them.

Umm well neither of those guys beat the actual real chapions at that time. Neither of those guys beat Hall of Famers, like Julian Jackson, nor gave a Hall of famer In Benn al he can handle.

G-Man had it all, but he fell in love with his power for sure. With that, he would've been outboxed by a good boxer, if they have the skills to avoid or defend against G-Man's offense. Because G-Man wasn't going to get KO'd or even knocked down unless what occurred with Benn happens. Even fighters who were hall of famers who fell in love with their power still managed to have a decent career.

Jackson stopped Norris-Prime. Rocked a prime and iron-chinned McCallum. I could be here all day but that's enough.

benn peaked that night. everything in his game reached his zenith, minus the power though still big, not what it was at 160.

after that fight he was ****ed physically and mentally.

he was out of his best weight though. and was no ATG. Says it all about G-Man IMO, good, but not good enough.

I'm not too sure what to make of McClellan leaving the Jackson fight with permanent damage. I guess it's just a question mark. There's reports that McClellan suffered frequent headaches after the Jackson fight. Although that could be a sign, well, lots of people get headaches but it doesn't mean they're brain damaged.

Also the de and re-hydration he did at 160 surely wasn't good for his health.

I don't know, I remember many people calling Rafael Marquez the hardest p4p puncher in boxing before he left 118.

    Didn't Gerald fight Dogs?

If so I hope he continues to suffer and lives a long and painful life, with as little outside help.
