    I have a better question...Why is he in your list? granted he is one of the greates fighter ever ( whom fought majority at middleweight)...

    he lost once at welter fighting a smw lol. beating gavilan alone is better than some peoples whole resume.

    He is a Welterweight champion, before it was split into multiple belts, and he was the most dominant fighter at that division, he also a 5 title defenses while he held the title for about 5 years before moving up. Also he dominated the division like nobody else and stands out more than any other welterweight of his era.

    plus i think there are some other old greats that needs to be there considered like jose napoles, I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to classical fighters but mayweather is definitely ahead of trinidad or oldh

    That is why I emphasized H2H when I made the list. It's not based on resume necessarily. It means that these are the guys who would present the toughest matchups for other WW champions if they fought each other in a fantasy tourney. Montreal Duran beats almost any other 147er in my opinion.
