I'll call in some reinforcements in the meantime.

There...a panel of big-time proponents of Filipino and Japanese boxing respectively (nobody's being accused of biased scoring, mind you! Just saying, for the sake of fairness, I've balanced this out with a couple of Pinoy & proud - but still capable of being objective - types, and then a couple of not particularly anti-Filipino but definitely enthusiastic-about-the-Japan-scene posters) - if this "focus group" (along with Drew, PP and CST) average out with a score in favor of Kawashima, then I'm putting this one down in the books as officially being a BF24 robbery. :deal:

Oh and @Somachenko - you should of course be a part of the scoring review committee. :eusa_doh: Tremendous oversight, my bad.

I got it 115-113 elorde and i too thought those 117-111 were wide. If elorde is going to fight navarette next i think his chances are slim. He has good fundamentals but i didn't see anything "special"

Not sure anyone posted it and I want to avoid the previous pages to avoid too many spoilers but here’s a YouTube link with both parts in one link

Kawashima by a round, no complaints at 115-113 either way though. Still can't get over the Aikawa loss, a thunderbolt shot but still a big mark against him.

    Round 1: 10-9 Elorde
    Round 2: 10-9 Elorde
    Round 3: 10-9 Kawashima
    Round 4: 10-9 Kawashima
    Round 5: 10-9 Kawashima
    Round 6: 10-9 Elorde
    Round 7: 10-9 Kawashima
    Round 8: 10-9 Kawashima
    Round 9: 10-9 Kawashima
    Round 10: 10-9 Kawashima
    Round 11: 10-9 Kawashima
    Round 12: 10-9 Elorde

116-112 Kawashima; Neither guy was really impressive. Elorde seemed to have okay skills which he showed early on, a nice jab and a good left hook, but he totally abandoned the jab in the second half of the fight. Kawashima was winning a lot of rounds just based on activity. Kawashima only threw one punch at a time but Elorde didn't even attempt to capitalize on that. Kawashima seemed to stun Elorde in one of the later rounds and that probably was one of the reasons Elorde's output really dipped. Kawashima's rounds were clearer. Almost all the rounds I gave to Elorde could have easily went the other way. Scores were horrendous. I'd probably be fine with a draw but it's hard for me to see an Elorde win.

    117-111 Kawashima

A few notes, what the hell were the commentators watching? Saying Elorde's firmly in control. I'm pretty sure I heard one of them cum when Elorde hit Kawashima's forearm.
For some reason it really bothered me that they were speaking English, then out of nowhere rip off with a blistering line of Tagalog or Spanish, whatever I'm tired Then right back into English, it was very schizo.
Was that Basketball player drugged? He literally was acting like a deer in the headlights.
Boy oh boy, Bobby Pacquaio's in the house.:cunaooooo:
This is a really really shitty fight to watch when your sleepy. I passed out around the 5th, and slept for like an hour, and finished it up whn I woke back up. I'm hardcore.:ggg

Finally got around to watching this tonight and I think I score it similarly to you and @PinoyProdigy. Maybe I’m just in a argumentative mood but I’d actually go as far as to say this was an atrocious robbery. Elorde started very slow, picked it up in the middle rounds and then lost steam in the last third of the fight. Disappointing scores, especially 117-111 Elorde x2
