For those who saw that match what were your thoughts on it? We all know that Rosado is the new BKB Middleweight Champion. Also, do you think this promotion will last and be popular like the sport of MMA?

    My thoughts on it ??

I thought Rosado was going to catch an ass whooping of a lifetime , he looked so damn feeble against featherfisted Charlo .

I pretty much predicted he would be laid out by the Iron chinned Vera , and I practically gave him no chance of winning .

Btw I have a feeling James Kirkland is going to happily participate in BKB very soon .

Rosado looked awesome. He's a good brawler type fighter who has skills. He'll translate well into the BKB

I was surprised that the fight under BKB still allowed for the full display of boxing skills (for boxer punchers anyway) The way they made it sound I thought for sure much of it would be diminished.

They are both suited to this kind of fighting as neither are that great at actual boxing.

I'll admit it was mildly entertaining, but just don't call it boxing imho.

The actual look of the fight was cool, with the alien spaceship-like "ring", but the problem I had with it was seeing real boxers in there fighting in such a strange format. 7 rounds, 2 minutes each, no ropes, being able to fall over a circular barrier? Ropes are a part of boxing, also boxing is contested in a "box" shaped ring. Seeing Kenny Bayless in there was just odd.

I guess it's kinda like if you get knocked out in a BKB match, did you really get knocked out? There's a sense that it is encouraging knockouts by not being able to lean on the ropes or use the space in the ring. Isn't it kinda like the anti-sweet science?

That's probably what Vera thought as well

Yeah I think this would be anti sweet science. The taking of real estate, and time prevents all kinds of strategic aspects purists depend on. They can no longer continuously back up and use their opponents aggression against them with that limited room. And if they try and stand their ground and out box their opponent they would have to throw many more punches to try and keep their opponent off of them which would in turn create many more opportunities for someone with good timing to load up on them. I don't see purist's doing well at this at all, and I think that's the way they intended it.

This will do well if enough money is dumped into it. Boxing is corrupt anyway so who cares about purist stuff when you have paid for rankings and fixed fights with overprotective managers. If bkb is well organized with money it will threaten our loosely orginized sport that is run by promotions who donate to the WB IB's of the world. Regardless of the format it is pro boxing with regular boxing gloves now. I do think a smaller standard ring would be safer though. The pad outside the circle is a trip hazard.
