Shumenov usually promotes himself along with his brother.

For this show, they had a co-promoter involved....drum roll.....Golden Boy.

This makes Campillo another in the line of fighters screwed at their hands.

"Robbery" is a word that gets thrown out way too often and often isn't true, but this is the exception. I had Campillo winning 118-110. I'm happy though because my parlay is a winner! :D

But, back to being serious. Golden Boy is full of **** and the last real robberies have involved GBP.

we'll I've yet to see Paulie-Diaz 1 .. but I'll agree on the Ouma one as I feel Kassim didn't get enough credit for winning rounds

but yeah, I'd put this fight tonight in a completely diff category as it was a blatant robbery and someone else put it best that Shumenov wasn't even in the fight.

he did show lots of heart, I'll give him that but IMO he was badly out classed ... in numerous rounds so it does kinda blow my mind seeing him get the W .. especially in the manner he did (again if you saw the scores, even worse)

as a frame of reference, some say Collazo was robbed in his career (Berto, Hatton) but those fights you could at least say were much closer in nature and the scorecards reflected that.

where this one tonight, I dunno how the judges came up with the scores that they did. besides being a terrible decision I also feel it reflects poorly on the sport of boxing

**** like this is almost inexcusable and as a fan I feel kind of embarrassed

BOXING: where winning just isnt good enough

heres whats wrong with boxing more than inactivity, paper champions, too many promoters
, every state having different guidlines in terms of officiating , its the local douche bags who are allowed to judge world title fights....im not sure why people *****, its been like this for years....doesnt make it right, but its excpected...its almost as if they want bad decisions so it stirs controversy

yeah really Campillo tonight can be called a robbery .. if anything he should have won on a split with scores 117, 117

not lost with 117 against him.

I agree with you man...I try to be more restrained in my posting these days, but when **** like this happens it just makes it hard not to get disillusioned. People should be outraged at decisions like that one because nobody wins. Shumenov's title is tainted, Campillo lost the only bargaining chip he had, and an otherwise great night of boxing ends on a completely sour note. It's like eating a satisfying meal with a bear **** brownie for dessert.

Im willing to bet that the fight in Kazakstan was definetely more competitive and to score it for Shumenov would be acceptable unlike tonight's fight.

Nevada is becoming the new Germany.
