I like MMA but it is a sport that due to how it is structured prevents mega fights from happening. We never got to see Fedor vs Couture, We did not get to see a prime Wanderlei Iceman fight. Also MMA judging rules blow. I have seen quite a few robberies in MMA. The worst part about MMA is that these so called Black Belts that learned self defense don't know how to throw a good punch.

This thread is about boxing...but I Have to say that MMA by no means is a more honest sport. PED's are more common in MMA.

Boxing is a much better sport with much better athletes...so F MMA.

Well considering I fought in the amatuers for 5 years and you're basically working hard on your post count, it is ironic that you consider me a rookie!

Is that any different than Top Rank vs GBP fights falling apart?

I've quickly become resigned to the fact that all judging is absolutely awful.

Well you don't get a belt in "self defense", you get a degree in Jitz or something similar.

This is ultimately going to boil down to a supreme level of stupidity but I'll say this attitude is ignorant to say the least.

This sucks, I was rooting for Shumenov, but Campillo won by a wide margin. It wasn't even close. Hopefully they will have a third fight, they have been good scraps so far.

First of all my idiot friend, I never said MMA was better than boxing. I was referring to the corruption level. I would take boxing over MMA any day of the week So you're basically arguing over something invalid.

Second, I never claimed to be a champion of any sort. Just a guy who boxes because he enjoys it.

Fanatics like you is the reason why I don't post. I would rather read and see you make a fool out of yourself rather than sink to your level. Seeing you have a rediculously high post count with relation to you join date, I can only predict you'll work pretty hard on your next smartass reply yet fail to make any sense.

Very simple, GBP. Thanks Oscar, nice to see more corruption than the "bad old days."

Ah, so now the insults start very mature. :good First of all, I never accused you of saying you liked MMA over Boxing. I agree with that corruption is hurting the sport, but you didn't say that all you said was "MMA is taking over and boxing is being shoved aside as the joke event of the sports world." and there really is no substance to that. The stats and facts point to Boxing generating more fans, and money.

Look at Las Vegas gate numbers, Boxing towers over anything MMA/UFC have done. That's not being a fanatic that is a fact. Now, I'm not saying MMA won't take over Boxing it may or may not take over, but saying it is taking it over is ludicrous when the numbers point in Boxing's favor. Also, the last time I saw ESPN do any sort of coverage on any MMA/UFC event was back in June/July when it was that special, biggest UFC event ever. ESPN and other mainstream outlets haven't shown much UFC or MMA and they haven't shown much Boxing. The last fight I remember them covering any Boxing was the Pacquiao-Cotto fight. Why do I bring this up? Well, If UFC does take over Boxing they aren't taking over much in the mainstream media's eyes, and if they are taking it over or have took over Boxing then it really is a luckluster effort for the MMA organizations because there is little to no UFC/MMA coverage in the mainstream media.

So, you can continue reading my posts and continue to not post on here, that is fine, but me and my "rediculously" high post count are going to bed. (Also, I never knew I cared so much about my post count. I guess you know something about me that I don't  interesting.)

Ok hold up, i have a question

Certainly there is SOMETHING we as a group can do.... so what is it? Im serious.... i dont know the boxing game too well in its in and outs outside of fights and fighters, i dont know the buisness side, so can someone tell me if there is somebody to protest this too?

    Somethings gotta be done.... period.
