Actually you are right in most of your points. The only thing I would disagree with, is that although Erdei is not that young anymore his handspeed hasn't really faded yet. He's still really fast, faster than Campillo IMO. But he has always had stamina issues which might be an even bigger problem as he gets older.

Anyway, this is a really good matchup. Not necessarily the most exciting one but two top LHWs who deserve a shot.

Erdei is a very good fighter that America never really got to see. He beat a lot of good fighters from Europe but several bums that didnt help his standing. His break out could have been vs Roy Jones who won a regional WBO belt and was a mando but never bothered fighting Erdei something he has done often and not fight a good european fighter with a belt.

Erdei also twice defeated the guy Campillo won his belt off of.

I'll take Erdei who has a wealth of experience

That B level Fragomeni had only lost once when Erdei beat him, that was to the man of the CW division and current WBA HW champ Haye.
Fragomeni had drawn with Wlod who had split 2 close fights with Cunningham. On that form line it says Fragomeni was right near the top of the CW division. Now I know it dosent work like that but Fragomeni was a CW world champ who Erdei went up a division to face giving away 17lbs at the weigh in alone.
Erdei is getting older now, but he does also possess one of the best LHW resumes in the division.

    Erdei to win

Erdei isnt much to me. Campillo woul be able to beat him but i think it would be a close fight.

none of them is very exciting or a decent puncher but considering how Campillo got robbed in the Shumenov fight and how Erdei had to relinquish his WBO belt for Brahmer by promoters call i´d say it´s actually a more credible fight than that Shumenov vs Brahmer "unification"

I´m going with Erdei by clear UD
Campillo uses his size very well against somewhat limited swamers.
Against an quick skilled boxer like Erdei I dont give him much of a chance sadly
Erdei found himself on a size disadvantage often during his carrer, Gonzalez, Mendoza, Ulrich, Garay who has a very long reach at least for expamle. and Erdei even displayed his carrer best performances against those guys.

Not to mention how Frago outworked Haye and pizza´d his face before Haye disgracefully rabbit punched him into submission

Campillo via debated Decision. Also could see it going exactly opposite.

Erdei told a Hungarian boxing site that he was suprised that everybody talks about the Campillo fight as a fact. Nothing is certain yet, he's going to NY in mid-January to negotiate with Dibella about his next fight. They have more possibilities, his main target is Hopkins.

Hopkins has always shown a style weakness to fast 2 handed fighters his own size and hasnt had much success when fighting fighters that fit that description ie He lost to Jones, lost twice to Taylor, lost to Calzaghe and only managed a draw with Pascal, all fast 2 handed fighters who are naturally of a similar weight to Hopkins.

Erdei fits the description of a fast 2 handed fighter who is Hopkins own size. Hopkins is a clever fighter who probably sees this and would know that Erdei has a very good LHW resume.

    Erdei by clear decision

Erdei every day of the week. He should fight Shumenov instead of Campillo.
