Headlining a GYM Promotions card at Casino de Montréal on Friday, March 11th. Battle of "young unbeaten prospects". :sisi1

Despite both coming in thin on professional experience - with just 23 bouts combined - they are hardly rookies nor spring chickens. Both the Venezuelan and the southpaw Ukrainian - aged 35 & 36 respectively - were longtime amateur standouts.

Maestre is coming off a controversial UD over Mykal Fox in August his first time campaigning abroad. Shelestyuk has only had one meaningful opponent in the pros so far, Aslanbek Kozaev way back in 2015.

I believe this will be the first high-profile Ukrainian boxer in action since the start of the present conflict? It kind of begs the question as to why he isn't following many of his boxing countrymen's example and reporting home for duty. :nusenuse:

Viktor Postol fought and lost last Saturday (2/26), right after the start of the conflict. He immediately headed back home after he was the recipient of a bull**** stoppage loss at the hands of Gary Antuanne Russell. Viktor Slavinskyi on the same card, also took home his first L at the hands of Claudio Marrero, who won by MD.
