There are a lot of people including managers, writers, promoters and trainers who agree, and this was when he only had 12 fights, meaning 12 rounds! Out in your territory Finito this has been the opinion of many since when Edwin started out! He got screwed over losing his license but now he is back to put his mark on boxing and I fully believe he will. If anything, all the problems he has encountered and got by will only further his desire to be great. Like he said, "On April 4th, my career begins." This is the honest to God's truth that before he lost his license, people who know boxing were comparing him to versions of Floyd and Sugar Shane when they were in the lower weight classes. No lie!

 

You're going to look very silly when Valero gets embarassed, outclassed, and stopped in the not so distant future. Calm down with the Valero hype..

Edwin Valero has serious power in both his hands although his record doesn't stand for much, he hasn't truly been tested yet, his next fight in April will determine if Valero is the real deal or not.

His style is very predictable to watch, he mostly overwhelms his opponents with both right and left hooks maby if he gets with a top name trainer to polishes his skills a bit then we may see a difference in his game.

A lot of writers are talking he is nothing but a vicious power punching swinger, but I disagree, if he could just change his style in to a more of a boxer- puncher then he may be a future force in his devision.

 

Montoya is gonna eat his words.

 

Barrera and Morales both seem to think so too. They have sparred numerous times with him. I'm sure Barrera and Morales know what they are talking about.

 

He looks like another Mayorga to me. That's if he has the chin.
