below are montoya's tweets from earlier tonight.. surprised there isn't a thread on this already.. what does this all mean? is it possible for a rematch I've heard this news no where else but montoya broke the peterson story so I'm trusting him as a source. Gabriel Montoya ‏@Gabriel_Montoya This is excellent news for Team Berto. I wonder if there is time to save the fight? #boxing Gabriel Montoya ‏@Gabriel_Montoya Andre Berto update part 3: ultra-trace amount levels are consistent with contamination not intent. #boxing Gabriel Montoya ‏@Gabriel_Montoya Cont. Part 2: ultra-trace amounts of Nandrolone in the low parts per trillion range #boxing. Gabriel Montoya ‏@Gabriel_Montoya Andre Berto Update Part 1 of 3: Sources have informed me that Berto's urine sample has tested positive for ultra-trace amounts cont. #boxing
The fight is off already, and after many court dates cyclist Alberto Contador has been banned for 2 years for testing positive on a extremely low amount (0.000000000050 grams). Though it's true that in boxing sanctions are usually much lower or none at all.
So that will be the new excuse when they catch you cheating? It's just "contamination" on something they took?
I'll still hold back until I hear what comes out. "Trace Minerals" is what had some holding back and what Conte was on about. To use Nandrolone is just stupid. It takes way to long to get out of your system. And considered the history of contamination in supplements...which is why I posted up in one of my posts an example of what Supplement companies are now doing with a seal of approval that their product meats certain standards for the tested/sporting athlete.... it makes you wonder how are athletes still so naive on not being more secure with what they are taking. There is an interview with "Dr. Johnny Benjamin" on "Floyd-Hype" that was interesting. But anyway, I'll still wait and see. Doubters could always say "Hey, maybe the steroid he was taken was contaminated with nandrolone." So, you never know. I guess it depends on what the test picked up. If the test is extremely sensitive like some have said and the amount is so miniscule, then you can give a pass. In the end, I still blame the stupidity of the Athlete who knows he is being tested and has to get everything he takes checked that it is not contaminated. Like I said, you have products that have seals of approval that they are clean.
It depends on how much. There was a big thing years ago with contamination of products. Especially when Andro and other per-cursors were on the market and being made by certain companies. Companies would make the same product with all their other products which caused contamination. If the test is sensitive, it will pick up any trace level. I think however it got to the point where the fault went back on the athlete because its on him to know what he is putting in his body. So get your stuff tested. Then you have this (which I didn't know) http://www.fightsaga.com/news/item/...roven-Cheat-Nandrolone-(Deca-Durabolin)-Facts
OK, so now it is being reported on The Scene that it was for "ultra-trace amounts of Nandrolone in the low parts per trillion range and consistent with contamination and not intent. So that's one more source for what "dmaq" was posting which was from Montoya. Still have to wait and see where he is getting his information from. Need word from the Testers, Conte, and Berto.
Berto is guilty as ****, I don't care how much he had in his system, it was in his system and he is with Conte. Testing positive under him is one hell of a co-incidence and he loses the right to cry 'contamination'..Conte is a PED expert and would have contingencies in place, like this contamination theory, in case the fighter is caught at some stage
