this guy on his twitter and blog and all his homies thinks his gonna ko out GGG.rosado reach is abnormal and he is bigger and taller.but his going to feel some serious pain when he gets clipped. please discuss as im interested if people think he has a chance.
He has a chance, if he comes in well prepared, with a good game plan, and is well conditioned. He has a chance if GGG underestimates him, and starts making mistakes. Rosado has a chance but it's very slim.
He doesnt use his reach, his power and chin are not as good as GGG's, but i still give him a chance because of his speed, legs and determination, and hey, dont forget - its boxing...
GGG is Ivan Drago around here. A simple youtube search, mainly the Ouma fight, shows that he can and will be hit and is somewhat vulnerable. That said, I expect a game Rosado to come up a little short in a good scrap.
Don't get why Rosado's people took this fight after he worked so hard to get himself into the mix at 154. He should have waited for something down there I mean he can't be getting that well paid for this one. I could understand they felt he had some stylistic advantages but if anything its the other way around. Unless he shows something different on the night you'd think he's just going to right there in front of GGG. Should be entertaining at least and who knows maybe they know something we don't. Also, I wouldn't read too much into the Ouma fight. I think he decided quite early on that he could just walk through him anything Ouma threw at him and he did in the end. He's shown much better skills before and since that fight.
he got rocked by that whitaker dude his last fight multiple times. he needs to fight smart. cause he tries that **** with golovkin hes gonna be out quick
Thing about the Ouma fight many don't bring up is that there was a 10min+ delay, where Ouma was in the ring dancing around, warming up and Golovkin was standing in the walkway waiting to come to the ring. I don't know if this section of the fight is on youtube, but for those who watched the fight live they can testify to this. Is it plausible this contributed to what looks like a slow start by Golovkin? Further more saying that he looked vulnerable against Ouma is a bit of stretch. The fair skin Golovkin had relatively little abrasion to his face. Had he been getting tagged by someone with enough power to cause damage, he may have adjusted to such. Basically he came out and did something know has done before and walk down Ouma, not caring about what Ouma was throwing back.
Rosado was gonna get a shot at K9, but chose this fight instead I believe. I just dont get it.... he must be getting payed a lot more then he would have otherwise gotten from any available fight.
That would have been perfect for him, definately winable. I read he gave up his ranking/status at 154 too, hope he doesn't regret it. On the one hand if he goes the distance with GGG and gives him a good fight he'll put himself in the shop window and will probably get asked back on HBO which would justify their gamble even if he loses. Unfortunately there's every chance he gets humiliated or even ruined if he takes a bad enough beating from a guy like GGG.
Actually makes alot of sense for Rosado. He can step up to MW against Golovkin who many think is a unstoppable killer, and if he looks remotely competitive and loses, he can move back down to JMW having picked up a nice pay check and recieved some good exposure, opening some doors that otherwise may have never opened. Also remember he's not promoted by GB or TR, has a half dozen loses on his record already, and even if he won the IBF title, it's not like it's a guarantee to bigger and better things (see how long K9's been the title holder and how much money he's made sense then).
Ko isn't gonna happen and the twitter talk is pathetic. He should focus on boxing smart, throw rapid fire combos, and both tie up GGG on the inside AND avoid trading or staying in front of GGG at all costs. Rosado needs to popshot his way to a decision. Even if he gets robbed he know damn well its a win and he's in the mix. He won't be on the outside looking in anymore. The last thing you want to do is take GGG's power for granted. Ko, pffft. Chico que tu tiene? Ko my ass.
Because, compared to what he is making for this upcoming fight($500K), he has only been paid "peanuts". It is totally too much money for a fighter of his status to pass up. Considering his history, he has nothing to lose(if he makes it out of the fight with his health intact).
Thanks guys for the feed back..rosado is bring out a video on the 16th about his training camp and how he is going to ko GGG and I can't see him getting close to a ko.. All in all he has shown that he is a player and believes in himself..If he thinks he can go toe to toe then he will be ko'ed in brutal fashion..
