    ...but in BKB. :!:

Rosado defends the middleweight title he inaugurated with his knockout of Bryan Vera.

Rumored that both have left the ring for the pit for good.

Nice one. I expect Rosado to take this

The BKB KO of Brian Vera was something else... and I think Bayless was reffing it!

    :yep

My money is on Rosado. I actually like this fight a lot. Rosado has respectable talent and has no quit in him, he's a tough son of a gun. Stevens can bang but I don't think he can over come the physical disadvantages here.

:D Rosado all day for me.
I would be bummed to hear that Rosado will not be ruturning back to the ring but what can you do?

Dude will be in the Rocky spin-off Creed and BKB pays him well.
Hes doing really well for himself buisness wise.

I suppose this is the best thing for them.

Neither is ever going to be elite in the squared circle. This may suit them more

I like BKB and these 2 guys are a perfect fit for it.

Brutal matchup, I hope they dont limit it to DISH or whichever network it was on.

Hard fight to call, especially as BKB. All I can say with conviction is that I doubt it will go the distance.

Yeah. They're both coming off bad skids (Rosado 0-4-0-1 going back three years; Stevens coming off the schooling by HNN, dashing all his momentum on the comeback trail after GGG) and would have dauntingly arduous roads to contention at this point.

In BKB they can headline and make some $$$, though it will shorten their shelf life.

Yup. On the one hand, you figure Vera wobbled Rosado a bit, so what's a much bigger puncher in Stevens gonna do with hard 8oz gloves in tight confines in the pit? :think

On the other hand, Vera is crazy tough and Stevens has shown a lot more vulnerability in the ring....so if Rosado can stop the former, no reason he can't stop the latter. :think

Agreed, boxing is great because it mixes savagery with science and beauty, this removes the latter.

It actually isn't bare knuckle. The NSAC didn't allow it, so they had to rebrand the promotion "Big Knockout Boxing".

    They use small gloves, though.

The only major difference between it and real boxing is the # and length of rounds (5x2min regular, 7x2 championship) and the fact that contests are fought in an open 17'-wide concave pit with sloped walls and no ropes instead of a ring - all designed to encourage less technique and more brawling with the hopes that as many contests as possible will end in a KO.

    Great fight. Will be fireworks.

    I'm picking stevens.

He's limited as hell but Rosado isn't that hard to hit so I think that'll be a problem for him. Rosado is tough as nails though so I could definitely see him over coming what ever stevens has. I mean he never even went down against Golovkin

I dont get that, the difference is the ring and rounds. Gloves, and other rules are same - had to be to get sanctioned. Its still boxing.

If one guy gets backed up enough and steps out, its equivalent of a KD. There is still room to slip to the side and take angles, just less need to be able to effectively cut the ring. While it is different, all things considered I think its more the fighters they select for matches than the rules themselves that lend so much intensity to the events.

The format encourages fighting, but at the end of the day its still about the fighters wanting to make it a fight.
