Ferguson has never been the smartest fighter, with his performance and tactics fighting Gaethje deserving to be criticized but I don't think it's fair to call him overrated at all when Ferguson had proven himself as 1 of the top lightweights over a long period beating nearly every contender. I think unfortunately for him we never got a chance to see how good he really was against the top dog Khabib,who like TFerg had the longest streaks in the UFC but what would have been 1 of the biggest fights of last couple of years turned out to be the most cursed fight i've seen in mma or boxing. Hope i'm wrong but TFergs age and last couple of injuries make a return to the top unlikely and he will remembered in same vain as the Diaz,Cerrones etc who were fan favorites,who put on exciting fights and had longevity at near the top but ultimately ended up as a level below the very best
