I must admit the more I see of KG, the more impressed I am. One by one he is removing my doubts and answering my questions. Dos santos a big strong guy essentially a featherweight and KG handling him well so far...round 7!
As opponents tire due to the fast pace he sets, KGs power ...relatively...grows. Not the type to score early stoppages against top level guys, but can sicken you with the regularity.
Big credit to dos santos ...he gutted it out. KG not even breathing hard. Very fit kid indeed. 122 very strong now in the "irish isles"!!!
I knew it wouldn't be long. If Quigg had fought Santos he would have ripped apart on this forum by the same people who will be championing this victory by Galahad. But, Galahad is potential world class and he's a live opponent for any world champion.
I think he has the style to give Quigg fits. Boxing off the back foot with a good jab and good accuracy. Quigg would struggle to find him. He could do what Salinas did for 6 over the 12. edit: still think Quigg finds him though. but Galahad makes it hard.
I really agree with this. I was impressed by Awad, but be fair here, he was fighting a guy who isn't anywhere near championship level. I do have to admit Galahead's skillevel is pretty good, but the thing he clearly misses is power. How will he react as a tougher, much harder puncher comes after him for 12 hard rounds?
Yep. Dos Santos was brave, but we need to be honest regarding his potential. I don't think for one second he sees the cards against either Frampton or Quigg.
