Fantastic effort from Rodriguez, was like a man possessed at time in there.

Hats off to both of em, that's what it's about man. I hope Rodriguez gets a ton of cash off the back of this.

Got excited there when Smith mentioned the towel in McCracken’s hands. Was hoping to evaluate his towel throwing technique.

Didn’t realise Yafai was 32, looks younger. Reckon he’ll be on the downward spiral now, that was a career shortening battering.

Great performance from Rodriguez and credit to Yafai for taking his beating like a man.

    That was brutal.

Rodriguez living up to the Mexican fighter stereotype. Look forward to seeing him progress, can't imagine him in a dull fight

He must have paid Peter Fury a visit and raided his freezer,

Yafai did well to make it through the 12 rounds, but got outmatched in every department. Incredible heart, but he should have been pulled by the corner.

That was hard to watch. Yafai took an obscene amount of punishment. Standing in front of Rodríguez wasn’t the right plan of action and he didn’t appear to me to make any adjustments during the fight.

Fair play to Rodríguez, though, he was fantastic. I’m glad he didn’t get diddled on the scorecards like has happened to him previously. I’m assuming he’ll be looking to fight Teraji next which should be a belter of a fight.

I agree. Another talented boxer ruined by Matchroom due to bad matchmaking.

I don't care what anyone says but a lot of these top amateurs just turn over way too late. The likes of Lomachenko and Usyk are clearly outliers and not a blueprint the vast majority of fighters should be following. You could win Olympic gold and the World Championships back to back three or four times and it would still never in a million years prepare you for a fighter like Rodriguez over 12 rounds. You need to be patient with sensible match making and have those tough learning fights as you build, regardless of how good you were in the amateurs.

I understand it with Cubans & Eastern Europeans where there isn’t a major pathway into pro boxing but there’s absolutely zero reason Brits should be fighting amateur past the age of about 23.
