Joe is a useless trainer who has got hype over his fighters winning useless belts no way was he trainer of the year

For one all his fighters fight the same, come forward in straight lines no lateral movement and the joe Gallagher trademark zero head movement, i mean what does he do in his gym that not a single one of his 20 something fighters have any head movement what so ever

And he is useless in the corner ,cant judge how a fight is going ,cant adapt and cant motivate. Peter fury should have got ring magazine trainer of the year

He is probably a good gym trainer who will get you fit - but he is pretty hopeless in the corner - he doesnt give great advice between rounds and he cant seem to read a fight at all.....

Like I've said before, he gets the absolute most out of fighters with less talent then others and puts together plans to counteract an opponents weaknesses at a certain level. It's just at proper world class level his actually very talented fighters get stunted imo from not being able to fight to there natural instinct or ability.

Whether that's because there told what to do, I don't know. They do seem to fall into a similar mold though, I think the lack of head movement with the high guard is one of them.

Round 2 last night was a joke, Steven Smith was getting caught every 5 seconds with a jab, no head movement at all. Obviously Joe is a good trainer, but I'm not sure if he's elite.

The lack of head movement from Gallaghers fighters is remarkable. Eating jabs for fun

    i totally agree:good:good

thats why when i watched david brophy against groves i mentioned to billy that it seems that he is trying too much to be like joe gallagher and you could see the way brophy shaped up that he had at least spent time using the 'joe gallagher method' which equates to no head movement:yep:yep:good

Who had Steven Smith beaten before last night's title fight that was anywhere near world class, NO ONE, decent fighter but these guys need to get put in with fighters who will test them before getting title fights.
Gallagher looks a good trainer due to the fact he has Hearn on his side with the best boxers asigned to him.
Hearn gets these guys title fights due more to pulling strings than them earning the right, watched Warrington last night ( hearn boxer ), decent boxer with zero power but not world class.

    Joe just seems completely unremarkable.

For someone who has one Ring Magazine trainer of the year and by all accounts fancies himself as a bit of a big shot, what part of his game can you point at and say, "Yeah, he get's his fighters doing xyz very well". I'm struggling.

He owes his success to Matchroom rather than his own methods. A domestic level trainer if ever there was one.

i agree, how he won that ring trainer of the year over peter fury il never know

the man will never have a fighter who is the best in the division becuase he cant train at the highest level, his methods are too basic he cant make adjustments and he cant read a fight

its amazing the amount of abuse he gave shane mcguigan before the fight about not having experience then shane made joe look like a complete novice:lol:
