A draw is not a win mate, Quigg should of won that fight easily, if your going to fight for a World title then Salinas is the type of fighter you want to face, all he had was a good jab, time his jab slip inside job done, like I said Gallagher's tactics was crap you don't let your opponent who has a good jab T off on you, doesn't make sense :good
Listen m8 told you before I've even PMd you I'm not Lance I post under my own name Arnie,I haven't got a problem with anyone checking my IP address, your right about one thing me and Joe don't see eye to eye, we were sound until he blanked me and Joe Murray at the running track, we let on and he walked right past and snubbed us, Joe didn't want to know, so as far as I'm concerned he can go and **** himself.
I thought quigg like everyone else started too late in the fight. That could and should have been a comfortable UD for quigg last night, instead he drew. Why any trainer would have a game plan that involves their fighter losing the first few rounds then to start performing is a strange tactic, and unfortunately for quigg he has paid for this. Gallagher is quick enough to sing his own praises and his fighters, lets see if he will admit he ****3d up in this 1.
If all he had was a good jab then 1 how on earth did he have such a good record as an ameteur and 2 why have golden boy signed him. He did everything well and was very awkward.you could say time his jab slip inside and job done about anyone it's a very ignorant comment to make if it was that easy then he wouldn't have won so many fights.
Salinas never knew how to work inside, got to think Frampton would comfortably outpunch Quigg and stop him mid rounds
Plus frampton may well box better than salinas on the inside but there were things salinas did defensively and also his jab which were better than frampton. Also the Cuban had a good reach where as frampton is small so quigg may choose to box at range if he were to box frampton the 2 fights aren't really comparable due to frampton and salinas being so different
I thought in the first half of the fight Quigg clearly got his tactics wrong. With that said everyone makes mistakes and that doesnt make Gallagher a bad coach or Quigg a bad boxer as long as they learn from it.
Bottom line is that a world class fighter/trainer combo, should have adjusted quiggs tactics quicker. He spent six rounds getting his face jabbed off. Fact. would frampton?
1. The ams and pros are totally different, if you have a good jab in the ams you can win most of your fights its called fencing 2. if Salinas was that good as you suggest what other shot or combination's did he have apart from his jab because I didn't see any, the Sky panel said Salinas had never fought anyone at top level in the pros I wonder why :think Salinas was brought in to make Quigg look good and it back fired on them.
Firstly, Quigg won that by a point or 2 imo, should have got the nod. Secondly, I thought the tactics were along the right line but like some have said it may have been a round or 2 late to make sure of victory. The Cuban boxed well early so I don't see why the gameplan should get too much stick.
Salinas won 6 rounds in the fight due to Quigg being negative, get over it he shouldnt be called a world champ has he hasn't won a world title fight. He will be given a bum to fight on the Froch bill and everyone will forget it
The reason salinas hasn't fought at the top yet in the pros is because he is avoided. Why fight an awkward fighter on his way up that hasn't got any names on his résumé yet and doesn't have a belt he brings nothing to the table
Why would anyone avoid fighting Salinas he might as well box with one hand tied behind his back because he only used the jab in that fight, like a said on my pervious post if your going to fight for a World Title then Salinas is the type of fighter you want to face, that's why Hearn brought he over :thumbsup
