My concern about Quiggs inability to make critical adjustments stands.
Looks like Salinas rematch is on. Salinas people demanding it. Turns out he injured his LEFT hand mid fight. So it wasnt Quiggs pressure that took away his jab after all!
This is bad news for Scott, unless he can come up with something RADICALLY different next time.

By the way, Carl Frampton is very critical of both Scott and Salinas -calls them both "very ordinary"...he reckons he stops Quigg in 3!

So because salinas hurt his hand he wants a rematch? He can get himself into mandatory position if he wants one. Team Quigg have no obligation at all to give them a rematch, he won a close fight and moves on now

Of course Quiggs people wont want it. Thats a given. But without laying the Salinas ghost to rest can Quigg really move on? Knowing he got a razor thin hometown gift against an injured opponent?
What about his credibility? What about his pride?
We now know why Salinas really stopped jabbing at mid-fight. We know it had nothing to do with Quiggs pressure.
Scott says he would have "won easily" if only he would have launched his big push a bit sooner.
    Well why didnt he?
    What was he waiting for?
Surely he did'nt hold off cos he was enjoying getting his face jabbed off at range?
Some suggest it was all part of some "tactical plan" by Gallagher and Quigg.
Well pardon me all over the place, but Im around a long time, and I never came across the "break his hand with you face plan". Maybe it passed me by!!!

Tactics weren't great if Salinas had of won one of the final 5 rounds he would of won the fight, apparently he injured his hand halfway through the fight too.

    This is getting Fuuuckin ridiculous,
Tony Bellew said I was Crolla's mate, you said I I'm Arnie and Tommy Heffron said I was Tidge, I'm none of these but I know 100% that Stevnlees is Tommy Heffron and I know this because he can't keep his own **** Tommy you told somebody very close to you the name you post under you silly twat,
you said I am always having a pop at Joe Gallagher but most of your posts are having a dig at Arnie ( kettle calling the pot ) this is all because Arnie asked your son to leave the gym for disrespecting him which in my opinion was right, a coach cannot have a boxer disrespecting him in his own gym, I'm not responding to this again so once and for all Tommy go do one

This has got weird, lance how do you know Farnell?

I presume Tommy Hefron is Ronny's dad...has he changed trainers?
Didn't know this, when/if did that happen?

Honestly I see Quigg winning a rematch comfortably.
The reason I see it perhaps not happening is if it doesn't make financial sense.
I had Scott winning that by 2 rounds & I think most people did, I think he looked a bit nervous & will improve with that experience.

Its all very well to say he is still learning, and indeed he is. But aside from what you learn I would expect a certain amount of 'instinct' too. Worried me the way he failed to respond to getting jabbed to death at range for such a long time.
Quigg may be a natural 'fighter' but Im not so sure he is a natural 'boxer'.
A naturally gifted boxer would not have behaved like Scott did....sort of like a rabbit caught in car headlights at the end of that jab (admittedly an excellent jab)...where was the instinctive response??
What if Salinas had not injured his hand, and gone on jabbing all through the fight?
He better come up with answers quicker from now on. World level guys - and thats what he will be facing from now on - wont be slow to take advantage.

Why would arnie post under a different name you crank?
It's not like he holds anything back when he posts anyway, he says it how he sees it.
He doesn't sit on the fence like a lot of boxers/coaches who come on here.
I can't see arnie being the type of fella to post under a different name to slag other coaches off. He's said his reason for not seeing eye to eye with joe Gallagher, & he didn't exactly hold back by saying he can **** himself.
I quite enjoy when the boxers and coaches post on here but there always seem to be some proper bellends just giving them **** all the time, no wonder most of them don't post anymore.

I didn't watch the fight live (watched it the following morning) so when I heard it was a draw I automatically thought it was another hometown decision. Watching the fight back I thought Quigg done just about enough to win the fight by a round or two. But when you give away the first four rounds like that, you can't be surprised when it is a draw.

I don't mind fighters giving away the first couple of rounds to try and 'feel out' their opponent but you have to step it up from the third round onwards. If he did that, he would have got the decision.

Saying Cubans have a lack of stamina is a bit stereotypical. Not all Cubans run out of gas so it would be foolish to think that about Salinas unless there was proof of this from his previous fights.
