Galveston dedicates statue and park to Jack Johnson

A statue of Sam Langford.

 

Looks more like Langford to me ,which is strangely ironic and ,possibly fitting.

 

fook me...you're right lads....it's langford...he's had the last say...the moral victory

 

Hate to sound like a broken record....but yeah, looks like Langford.

 

That will wipe the "golden smile "from Jack's face, wherever he is.
" he who laughs last etc".

 

I've heard Manassa, Colorado are preparing a new statue of Dempsey that looks suspiciously like Harry Wills.

 

Langford has a chubbier face, fuller lips, wider nose. Johnson has a more gaunt slimmer face, still he was usually laughing

 

Oh, it's by no means a perfect likeness of Sam Langford, but it's a decent effort.

 

was meant to be reading this secretly as am at work but that just made me belly laugh out loud

 

If a statue was made of Sam Langford it would be the king of all statues :crybaby
