To be fair Dwyer's picks are pretty good averaged out. Wish he would talk faster, though.

    On point as usual.

wow, i think this guy's a ******..... and doesnt seem to have the best in mind for PBF financially, though he seems to be pro-mayweather...

His reasoning is Pac def Margo in the fall, to sweeten the pot for a PacWeather fight in Spring.

This is a REAL rough gamble and ALL kinds of things go wrong....
    1) What if Pac actually loses? (personally he'll blow Margo out of the water, but there's no guarantees in life) Doesnt that discredit a PacWeather fight? Wouldnt PBF WANT to fight Pac for the financial draw? If he loses, fans will want PBF to fight Margo to indirectly validate Pac's loss to PBF. Ya think PBF want to really fight Margo? Well, possibly the hype from beating Pac is built enuf to make him an attractive target afterall...

2)What is PBF doing the whole time? This d00d expects him to wait and pass up a round of fighting? Ehhh, time is money. Almost having a year between a fight isnt fun and will give him some ring rust.

3)As this d00d says, Pac will be softened up by Margo. What if he gets TOO softened up? Pac is at the very cusp of retiring. A decent injury would give Pac a good reason to retire immediately and 100% into politics. Remember, he's been wanting to go full board into this new endeavor. Why give him another excuse to go in early?

4)Going along with this notion, this may be the last fight for Pacquiao. He may fight Margo and then just retire! And THEN, it'll be up to PBF to match or better Pac's performance vs Margo!

If there's an obvious winner in these scenarios, its Margo becoming a benchmark between the 2 fights and raking all the residual dough lol.................

Christ sakes, seize the ****ing moment and fight each other..... time is VERY LIMITED and the opportunity is just slipping away....

I don't think you are on this guys level. Hell the tax consequences alone are enough for him to roll the fight over to next year, but I digress... On to your points.

    01. True, but you are not including protection of legacy or the economy. There will be a mega-fight with the winner next year regardless. With Pac? Great. 50/50. With anyone else? He is taking the most money. Either case he will probably fight both anyway.

    02. Same thing he was doing during the first "retirement" that let him come back to beat a HOF fighter? FMJ is good on the ring rust.

    03. Pac would take the fight. So would the winner. He would have two fights that would total up to more money overall. But less legacy.

    04. Not really. Many a fighter has been pulled out of his first retirement for much less. Boxing is like a crappy girlfriend with a great body. You know how the story ends, but you just keep going back...

I don't want FMJ to retire, but the guy's logic is sound. Like you, I can find a million and one arguments against it from a fight fan's perspective. It makes sound financial sense though.

Didn't know this guy is a Floydette. He's clearly concerned only for Floyd and his purse on Pac's fight. Purse on Pac's fight and not on his continuous cashflow. If Floyd wait for Pac to lose he will lose Millions for not fighting anybody more than he can earn.

No you don't have to be a tax accountant to realize that the more you make in one year the more you are taxed. Then again FMJ is probably in the highest tax bracket so it doesn't matter.

Wear your ignorance and lack of intellectual curiosity as a badge of honor. Here is a jam for you.

Give me a break. Margocheato and Cotto are walking punching bags for Floyd. How many rounds would it take the hands of plaster to land a telling blow? Floyd would have to ******ed to consider dodging either fighter.

I don't think that Dwyer realizes that Pacquiao has only one fight left, which is November 13th. Even disregarding that, I don't think Pacuiqao can actually "earn" the 50/50 split, especially by fighting cotto again. Whenever the fight is made, this year or next year the terms, whats at stake, and everything else will be exactly the same. But since Pacquiao is a congressman now and has only one fight left, it needs to be made for November so that the world can really see who the best fighter of this generation is.

:huh < That's me trying to answer this.
This is assuming that the terms sent by Team Pacquiao are agreable to Team Mayweather.
I think he has some good points but over all i disagree.
From a money making stand point. I think he's correct. A combonation of Pacquiao comming off a win over Margrito or Cotto and Mayweather not having fought since Mosley will make the fight more intregeing, and there fore a bigger money maker. I also beleve due to the way they fight as well as the amount of fights they have had. Mayweather has a longer shelf life than Pacquiao. Waiting hurts Pacquiao more than Mayweather.
Why Mayweather should fight Pacquiao sooner than latter. First of all Mayweather would beat Pacquiao when ever they meet. Why not now as opposed to latter? Secondly is if he waits too long he may get rusty. There is a greater risk factor if he is inacative for too long. You can do a lot in the gym but you can't gain the experance that a boxing match is going to give you. If Mayweather dose wait to fight Pacquiao he should have at least one fight between now and than.
This is still assuming that the terms that Pacquiao sent Mayweather are acataptle to Mayweather.
