I just watched the Drummond fight. I thought I was watching a UK fighter as much dick sucking was going on for Drummond. I scored the fight 5 rounds to none Chagaev. The fight was stopped after the sixth. The sixth probably went to Drummond on action. Chagaev wasn't struggling in the fight at all. Prior to the accidental head butt in the third he was winning easily. If he lands the shots he lands on Meehan's jaw that he did in the first few rounds it will be a KO. Meehan's chin isn't glass but it sure isn't great and Chagaev landed some good bombs on Drummond.
Really the dick sucking has got to stop from these announcers. If we could see a compubox stat sheet it would probably show Chagaev out landed Drummond 3 to 1.

Don't always believe what you hear, if you can look at the film yourself.

what do you guys think about backing mcdermott against tyson fury @ 3.0 odds, i saw the first fight and mcdermott really outboxed fury but got really robbed. fury didnt hsve the power to get him out and showed he is a flawed fighter that is just big.
The odds were the same last time, i dont understand it though. Mcdermott won or at best it was a draw it the odds could favor fury but not this heavily i believe.

Unless something changed in the last few hours, this fight was canceled at least a week ago.

Just watched the promo video. Meehan can't get his punches off against his trainer. Looked like good power but he had no rhythm. I really think he struggles in this fight and it won't last all that long.

alright so we shouldn't make much of Houston here:
In his last fight before meeting Klitschko, it looked as if Chagaev was a diminished fighter as he struggled with the limited Carl Davis Drumond.
Chagaev suffered a cut over the left eye from a clash of heads and came away with a unanimous technical decision win after six rounds in the bout with Drumond, but he looked beatable. My notes described Chagaev as “slow and plodding”. Drumond seemed to be gaining in confidence and won the sixth round on two scorecards, when I noted: “C. getting hit too much.”

I'm happy for anyone to contribute, even if they are making the very small plays (like me right now) but it definitely makes it interesting to see when we take that educated leap into gambling on a fight. Some people can be excellent at assessing fights and probabilities of outcomes but simply pull the trigger at the wrong times on the wrong bets. I am a guilty party of late.

It is always inspiring to see someone make a big streak of plays and multiply there money

Yes, he's right in the 6th Chagaev was getting hit to much as he couldn't see out of his eye. Mr. Houston also noted to me in an email that he thinks that Chagaev was cut twice over that same eye in that fight. I'll never discount Mr. Houston's opinion as he's usually very accurate about fights.

I think that people are thinking about this fight the wrong way a bit.

Stop focusing on Chagaev, focus on the 40 year old who hasn't fought in almost 2 years. Watch the promo video, he just can't let his hands go and that was against his trainer's pads. I still think that his only chance is a KO and it has to be in the 1st or 2nd round.

Chagaev has a lot of skill, has a good high guard and should be aware that Meehan's only real chance is his right hand. Fight up close, aim for the body and head to the showers early.

Like I said, I don't often disagree with Houston though.

With Meehan weighing in lower than Chagaev, I won't bet on the fight. If he had come in at 235+ and Chagaev less than 230, I would've played it.

I got Chagaev winning every single round against Meehan and it looks like if they fought 100 rounds, Chagaev would win all 100. Also, Chagaev has the chin to take Meehan's punches.
