Just like his Cuban counterpart (Joel Casamayor) Gamboa is turning out to be a dirty fighter. Tonights fight only highlight these traits as he intentionally threw Jimenez twice, held his head many times, used shoulders, and stuffed his open glove in his face. The accumulation of dirty tactics was too much. The ref should have taken a point for repeated tacticts even if they were not the same ones.

    What do you guys think?

I think it was a pretty good fight. Jimenez is a tough fighter. I did not think Gamboa was dirty kind of cocky but not really dirty. He did not do anything to gain an advantage abd it is fight so rough housing will take place.

If it serves him well and if he can get away with it, without having points being deducted, then there is no problem and any implication that his dirty tactics are somehow illegal or constitute cheating, is nonsense. At the measured level he's employing them, dirty tactics are part of the game. Most good champions have a few dirty tricks up their sleeve and know when to use them to their advantage.
