Really disappointed with this. He should have at least taken a stay-busy fight in the interim. He's not getting any younger and needs to step up. Hopefully we'll see a meaningful match signed soon against a credible opponent.

His performance against Salido is more impressive in hindsight. He didn't look spectacular in that fight and was a bit frustrated near the end, but it was convincing enough to be a great win on his resume. Also, the fight against Solis he lands the sickest combination to score one of the knockdowns while using lateral movement.

  4. Yes he needs to come back soon.

Its sad... Every time it seems he may be on the brink of something big,it just falls off... get him in the ring soon, he's wasting his prime... Lots of good fights out there for him..

I really hate watching super talented boxers in the prime of their careers, not fight. Gamboa's style relies a lot on his athleticism. That is going to fade fast once he reaches a certain age. He needs to start fighting. I'm a huge Gamboa fan, but seriously dude, ****ing fight somebody. You're letting your talent go to waste.

Definitely fiending for a Gamboa fight. Someone like Kevin Mitchell would be ideal for him to come back.

Tough year on the Gamboa fanbase.

Hopefully, TMT will make it a worthwhile wait and match him against a marquee opponent before year's end.

I'm guessing a matchup against Caballero in S.Fla might just be the aim.

Most talented dude in the game aside from Mayweather imo. He'll be back before the years out, proly with not too difficult an opponent to shake some rust off (billy dib maybe since he's also with TMT or caballero since he's still highly rated) then back in the mix of things vs a top dog in 2013 and fromt here he'll keep lining 'em up and knocking'em down until he fulfils my 2007 prophecy of being p4p #1 by late 2014/ early 2015.

I'd like to see him go straight to LW before the end of the year and take a belt from Burns/Demarco/Vazquez and follow it up with a super fight vs Broner in te first half of 2012.

    Gamboa vs. Dib

Being that they are both under TMT?? Maybe it'll be both of their first fights at 130...
