Gamboa : Almost a year has passed no fight lined up

that fight is not going to happen Floyd and 50 will watch Broners last fight and realize Broner would KO Gamboa they paid too much for Gamboa to have him lose this soon

 

Even if a fight was announced today it would be several months away which would make it well over year since Gamboa's last fight. Gamboa has definitely wasted one of his prime years due to inactivity.

Gamboa is a very talented fighter but he relies a lot on his speed and reflexes and those things start to slip by the time you hit 30 and Gamboa is going to be pushing 31 by the time he fights again. He only has 2-3 prime years left and I get the feeling by the time his career is over he could be viewed as someeone who wasted his talents.

 

They should stop ****ing around and line him and Broner up.

It'll end like Gamboa - Lopez did if they don't make it happen.

 

Tough to lose a year on a career @ his advanced Pro age.

Gamboa's situation is not as stable as it should be for a fighter of his standing. He's at the peak of his powers, has remained inactive for a year, just signed to a new promotional outfit with no experience what so ever, and is non the wiser on when his next fight will be (or who it will be against). A guy like him should already be on the ground running, not sitting idle on a bench.

 

Tell me about it, Gamboa is my favorite Cuban boxer. He has already wasted 1 full year between legal and contract issues without fighting. I just wish that he never got close to Mayweather, he should had stayed along side the Cubans. Gamboa has freakish talent, he and Rigondeaux are the two best Cubans that have ever boxed pro. Let's see what the future brings for him, but he needs to stop wasting precious time being inactive! :-(

 

Gambi does not strike me as a particularly determined character.
