The second ( first on my eyes) best Cuban fighter will meet another tough Asian boxer when Guillermo el chacal Rigondeaux meets Poonsawat ( I owe you the last name) this coming Saturday.
I'm looking forward for that card, Rigo and Nonito sharing the ring. Assuming both win( and they should) I expect a post fight interview announcing this 2 will fight soon.
But first comes first. Beat Poon and then we will talk.

You're a lot more optimistic than me. I'm expecting a post-fight interview with Donaire in which he declares he's done all he's needed to in the division.

He is Thai and is a come forward style fighter.
Likes to walk his victims down. Had a great chin but had a shock loss to Korean Ryol Li 2 years ago in Japan.
I suspect his best days are behind him but believe me he was 1 of the most avoided fighters at 122 for a long time.
He had a great fight with a prime Ricardo Cordoba and later smased a prime Bernard Dunne in 2009.
In terms of his threat to Rigo It is hard to say.

If I though Poon was still prime I would have given him a shot of an upset.
He certainly had the power to hurty Rigo but I suspect Rigo's foot work and defensive ability will carry him through this.
If poon is still in close to prime condition expect a scare though.

I don't know about a Donaire win. I am expecting Arce to turn back the time. With Hernadez (conditioning coach), and Nacho the boxing guru formulating the tactics.I wont be surprise if Arce is hitting like a welter weight lol

    WOW:!:
