same amount of wins and ko's, gamboa has mixed with the higher level of opposition....

    who you like?

i think crawford is overrated, but he should beat a guy where he holds so many physical advantages, height, weight....

and gamboa's inactivity will be a factor but i think gamboa's is a superior fighter in all aspects.

Gamboa has accomplished more, owing to his higher quality of opposition. But there's no one on his record I wouldn't favor Crawford over. That said, Gamboa has had some really patchy fights where he's been flash knocked down or where he has gotten offensively lazy or defensively negligent.

Based on his performances against Prescott and Burns, I think Crawford will box and hustle his way to a decision win. Gamboa's speed and power will loom as threats, and Yuri will occasionally sling scary combos.

But Crawford will box, move, box, move his way through danger.

If Gamboa is in top shape with a great training camp, I'll take Gamboa. But he's lazy and he may never live up to his potential.

burns and prescott are both bums

prescott got outboxed by kevin mitchell.... before he ever lost to alvarado or crawford...

    burns got schooled by beltran....

    crawford is severely overrated

the key is gamboa's focus.... if he respects this kid, he'll whoop him.... but rust will be a factor.

It's true Burns and Prescott are flawed, but Burns had been on a big string of impressive performances before Beltran ran him down. And Prescott's power its up to the mark even if his defense isn't.

As I said, Gamboa has fought more world class fighters. But he's looked sketchy and out of touch in several of these fights. And are Barros, Solis, and Perez all that great compared to Burns and Prescott?

True, Farenas can fight and so can Ponce Deleon. But Farenas dropped him. And the outsized, outgunned Ponce had Gamboa looking skittish and awkward through a lot of the bout.

To sum it up, both guys will be facing the best fighters they've ever fought on the 28th.
