Just 6 days left! After Burns-Martinez, could this be another WAR?

Another fight that HBO should've passed on. Unification or not, it's a mismatch. Nice undercard, though.

Gamboa in Las Vegas, Salido promises victory for Mexico on bicentenary!

What's with the huge glasses? Covering some sparring or draining marks? Anyway, Salido promises victory on the bicentenary of the Mexican independence.

"I feel that I'm very well prepared to face Gamboa. We finished up the strongest part of our training. Nothing more is needed other than staying with the weight so we come in there in the best condition. I don't like to give predictions but I just know that I'm going to climb in there and win the fight. I feel very good, very strong, very motivated. I know it's a tough fight but the motivation and preparation that we had, and with the help of God, we will win. I dedicate the fight to all the people of Mexico. I will fight at the time of the Bicentennial and that's going to be a nice touch."

Urrrg. I thought the "regular" WBA title couldn't be unified.

Yeah, it's been discussed... as of yet, the WBA haven't released a statement that would suggest they wouldn't sanction this fight so it seems they are cool with it.
