Gamboa has been advised for his lawyer to remain silent. He did some things wrong but there is a whole bunch of **** behind this story.Stay tuned and you will know.
Gamboa is gonna **** up Top Rank's day when he pays that money back, which he can probably argue as a loan.
From the Scene... #'s 1 & 2 aren't to relevent, just saying how he came to TR's promotion. Gamboa backed out once Haymon got in his ear. "Why are you taking a fight you can easily lose? Fight so-and-so (who you can easily beat) for the same amount of money." Gamboa bitched out.
You have no idea whether they did so or not. The reason you have no time for this is because you've already made your mind up on who the bad guy in this situation is.
They're all bad guys. Top Rank is full of piece of **** scumbags who would throw their own mother's under the bus for a dollar. And, Gamboa, himself, is a coward.
Nance's ****** HIV positive meth addict ass won't even entertain the idea that Bob Arum and Top Stank could be to blame in this situation because that wouldn't fit his ****** meth addict agenda. :deal
****ing *******s this has nothing to do with Floyd. Bob Arum is a corrupt piece of **** who runs a crooked promotion and Gamboa is an idiot for ever doing business with his, or thinking there would be no repercussions to backing out of this fight.
atsch You really do read what you want don't you. WTF do you think I've made my mind about exactly? Am I wrong saying he could have said something when it was announced? Am I wrong in saying he shouldn't have accepted the money if he didn't want to fight? Did I say ANYONE was a bad guy? Learn how to discuss **** on a message board. No one here knows all the details, I certainly never said I did genius.
Forgive me if I read your repeated dismissals in this thread and elsewhere of possible defenses of Gamboa as mere speculation without evidence, while not holding a single thing Top Rank claimed to the same standard, as not indicating neutrality on this matter.
Your defense of Gamboa acounts to very little. You act as if it's equal. BUt please, explain WHAT I am supposed to hold against TR in this case. All you presented was some 'maybe this, maybe that' and an some assumption on abril. Make a case that makes sense, I'm open to possibilities, but not some weak "Oh, lets just blame evil Arum" ****. Can't you admit Gamboa or his manager SHOULD have said something at the time it was announced, and not just no-showed pressers they wanted and agreed to? Look at what I posted in red, post 93. That's from the legal suit filed. Want to go number by number and say how TR is lying? In a legal document? By all means, have at it.
I don't think any of the claims I've made in this thread are particularly strong, but I also don't think anything shown from Top Rank so far is either. The lawsuit details constitute little more than a list of assertions; if it's all true, then yes of course Gamboa screwed up. Why however should we accept those claims? Because they said so? Because they went ahead and held the press conference anyway? Because they're saying things publicly and Gamboa's been mostly silent so far? None of this convinces me of anything.
