According to "b-scene" undefeted WBA Interim Featherweight titleist Yuriorkis Gamboa and Unified IBF and WBA Super Bantamweight titleist Celestino Caballero might cross paths Sept. 5th, if Caballero can get past his next opponent Jeffrey Mathebula. Both share a common opponent in Jose Rojas who KO'd Caballero in 3 rounds back in 2003 and who was just TKO'd himself by Gamboa in his last match. So who do you think wins this fight?
in my eyes . i dont think theres anyone at this weight for gamboa. he could unifi easy. his lack of defense needs tweaking. just a good job the chin behind is rock solid
Gamboa's chin is ROCK SOLID??? sheiiit...... but newayz, props to Gamboa if he takes this one, this is a dangerous fight, actually for both fighters really....but uhhh, i'll def. watch if it goes down, i hope John gets the winner though, can't wait for this 1 if it happens.....it's a good loook for boxing
WTF !!! JOHN AND LUEVANO WOULD HAND HIM HIS ASS ON A PLATTER.......EVEN LITTLE ROCKY JUAREZ WOULD KNOCK HIS ASS OUT deal
Hopefully this will make the ring realise Caballerro deserves to be nowhere near the top ten pound for pound. Gamboa by late KO.
chin is solid.. he gets flashed cos he runs in fast. throws many and gets clipped. gets straight back up..unless you likethe rest on this board who believe everys glassed jaw'd
here is the mexican freak like always blasting the cubans...but get ur ass ready,u havent seen the power of whats coming with gamboa, lara, rigondaux and company(wont talk about higher weights b/c mexicans dont grow that much)atsch
I love that Showtime would make this match, but i think it's too overrated fighters head to head. I'll lean in Gamboa's direction. Caballero is akward as **** and really hard to handle, but the higher he goes up, the less his physical advantages. His wins over Molitor and Ponce are name wins, and while he looked dynamite against Molitor, I question his opponent.
If this fight was ever to happen I would not be the least pit surprised to be the easily hi table Gamboa getting KTFO....I think its to big of a step with all the defensive problems he still has.
I got Gamboa KO. Caballero is way too slow for Gamboa. Yeah, Gamboa's aggressiveness might cost him but i think he'll avoid the big shots. He actually boxed a lot in his last fight but he did have some awkward moments running in.
i don't know if he's ready for a fight like this, don't know much about cabellero but i know he's very dangerous, i'll go gamboa UD if he doesn't get rocked early
