Your talking apples and tennis balls. It means nothing. Amateurs are exactly that. Amateurs.

Tyson lost to Henry Tillman twice as an amateur, then proceeded to knock the **** out of him in the pros.

Yo dude. You realize the vast size/weight difference between the two? mayweather already towers over people in the 150s.

I like gamboa and all but he is a small guy.

As he goes up in class, he will most likely lose some speed, and his power is not going to translate either.

man you crazy!!! Gamboas my favorite fighter but he gets KTFO'd!!! He has a suspect chin at fetaherweight, how you expect him to jump 4 divisions to fight a guy that just showed enough power to hurt and wobble the #1 junior middleweight with 10oz gloves!! mayweather with 8oz gloves vs Gamboa= an early night KO2, Gamboa would be fighting the fastest guy he's ever faced with the best technical skills in the game who has a significant advantage in size/chin/power (not relative to their divisons but overall a heavier guy who hits decent for his divison is way more powerful then a much lighter guy who's a power puncher in his). The only advantage Gamboa would hold is handspeed which isn't enough vs another quick fighter with the best timing in the business carrying every other advantage, not to mention Gamboa might not hold much of an advanatage in handspeed considering he'd slow quite a bit having to jump up 21 pounds in weight.

You are making this a national issue knowing you are wrong.
There are biased posters in this forum from all over the world, your Mexicans friends are included( we know the ones I'm talking about).
The problem is not where are you from but how much you understand the sport or how delusional you are.

I also think Gamboa can defeat Mayweather , if only they were the same size and weight ( ¿ can you imagine Gamboa going up to 147 ? ) . And other thing : I disagree 100% about calling Aragon a mediocre boxer , Aragon was a great boxer , one of the finest in the Cuban team at that time , he was just unlucky when it comes to Olympic Games , somehow an Olympic gold medal always evaded him but he was fine with World Championships , Panamerican Games , etc . ( don't forget Lorenzo Aragon was national champ for like 8 years in a row ) . Peace .

Thats stretching it. Gamboa is an incredible talent. If Mayweather suddenly shrunk in size to 130, Gamboa would have an excellent chance of winning. Id still give Mayweather odds tho.
