Hes fighting at 130 right now, im sure he can gain a few pounds over a long period while getting adjusted to it and then fight the big names of Cotto, Mayweather, Mosley etc.

This would be really exciting fights, of course only if Gamboa keeps on proving he is truly as great as he is looking like right now

I think he should not be rushed...he is p4p material; no point to destroy him before he has a chance to shine.

My point is that he should fight at the weight he is more comfortable at at the moment...he shouldn't try to go up in weight or anything...it should come naturally. He will have his chance to fight the bing names, but it should happen naturally, when his body is ready...

130 division now has big names. Why try to move up? A lot of good fights can be made in the 130lbs division.

Agreed - in time, I think we will see him at 140/147. It would be nice to see the kid do a Floyd Mayweather and win titles in multiple divisions starting at 130.

The difference between him and guys like Floyd/Oscar is that he is a regular sized 130 pounder right now, while Oscar was huge at 130 and Floyd was big too. Gamboa has fought at 126 before and said he wouldn't have trouble making that weight again. Who knows though, Gamboa is the best prospect in boxing and seems like he could be a great fighter that could accomplish amazing things.. but who knows if he will very good at all. Maybe when he steps up he'll become the next Zab Judah or maybe he has a glass chin. It's too early to talk about things such as moving up in weight for Gambo, but he is looking sensational right now so it's hard not to.
