After the layoff, the legal issues, the promoters war,the pressure from the press, the 50 cent promised memorable entrance...
just saw the fight this morning- last night i couldn't evade some social compromises-and he looked good against a good opponent.
he is gonna have to go back to adjust his defense and a couple of details. He got a lit confident after taking Farenas blows. He got hurt for the first time in that 9 rd. But he composed himself to win leaving no doubts.
Hope he comes back soon and keeps working on adjustments. Whats important is that he's back and ready for big fights.
haters gonna hate no matter what, i saw them at the RBR talking the same **** about the glass chin-some of them *******s who a few minutes later found out who brought a glass chin to Vegas last night.

Gamboa-Broner one of the best fights in boxing at the moment.

    Hopefully it gets made soon.

    This.

However I don't think Gamboa was that impressive, he was wobbled lots of times and fought in spurts a little. Of course he is a great talent, and I was impressed with his opponent.

as a big Gamboa's fan i woudnt recommend him jump into Broner now, who's bigger and as fast as Gamboa. He should establish himself at 130 first and get a decent trainer, his dad isnt a real trainer. He lost a whole year of his peak and has a lot to catch up with.If he fights Broner next at 135 he loses the fight.

Based on last night's fight. Broner would dictate the pace and catch Gamboa all night long. I really feel he could get a knockout, but he has to stay cautious every second of the fight because of Gamboa's fast hands.

Broner will be at 140 by then.

Funny how it's Gamboa stepping to Broner now, few months ago it was the other way around

I was more impressed with Farenas. If Farenas could touch Gamboa i wonder what Broner could do to him.

All things considered, it wasn't too bad. But I didn't like seeing Gamboa trying to employ that Sergio Martinez lowered hands style. Farenas rocked Gamboa more than just in that round where he dropped him.

Gamboa needs another fight to get the rest of that rust off, his timing was not all there either. He needs to focus on fundamentals and not on trying to be so flashy, his shots were looking wild.

All in all, I thought the comeback was a giant success.

Gamboa got to show off his usual flashy, vulnerable, fan friendly style to many casual fans last night. This type of invaluable exposure far outweighs his supposed meager purse.

Gamboa's my favorite fighter but he clearly looked slower of both hand and feet. might be ring rust, I'll give him a pass and check back after next fight. He needs to get back in the ring often and soon and he needs a top 10 type guy but not an elite champion level dude. Salido would have bodied him last night and he beat Salido with ease before the break. His ring IQ was terrible last night and he looked like he had no clue how to apply educated pressure.
