Gamboa Could Face Rojas, Not Salido, On 9/11
A scheduled July 24 featherweight (126 pounds) unification bout between Cuban-born, WBA champion Yuriorkis Gamboa and newly-crowned IBF king, Orlando Salido, has been tentatively postponed until Sept. 11 due to a cut sustained by Salido during training, Gamboa's manager, Tony Gonzalez, informed ***********....I dont think that salido is going to be the opponent, but they are working on a few guys. WBC champion Elio Rojas and Celestino Caballero will be consider as replacement.

Rojas is a tougher fight than Salido anyway. But he should really be fighting Caballero or Lopez. Enough of the BS. Top Rank is unduly shielding him. Dude should be cleaning out the division right about now.

I would have rather seen Salido who would test his mental makeup.

I would love to see caballero step in! Although elio rojas is not that bad, and the winner face the winner of lopez-marquez.

Either way I hope this fight gets a lot of burn.People need to know who Gamboa is now or they're gonna think he 'came outta nowhere" later on.Why is it so so hard to make quality fighters into big stars?

Stay away from Rojas. I rather see him fight Salido, or Caballero.

i dont know but he needs to get busier.. it looks like gamboa doesnt fight a lot and when he does he fights on small cards.. he needs to start getting paid or he'll waste his time in the limelight
