Solis might have a change of opinion if he stepped in the ring with the Pacquiao of today.

Foreman hit harder than Ali, and yet, the Ali that hadn't fought for 3 years destroyed a prime Foreman, which ultimately sent Foreman into a long depression.

If you think Gamboa is somehow better than Pac because of a single dimension, you know as much about boxing as Elie Seckback :patsch

Finally got off work a hour ago just watched the finish of Garcia vs Remmiland or what not and the Gamboa fight, all I have to say is damn Gamboa's speed is murder and I really liked seeing JuanMa come into the ring with respect saying there the top 2 guys they should fight eachother ...Arum no doubt dislikes that but they both want to get it on and there both beasts.

If Pacquiao doesn't hit hard it just makes his other abilities that much better. He became lineal champ at 130 with wins over Morales, Barrera, Marquez, Larios, and Solis and he doesn't even hit hard apparently.

Different scenarios really. Gamboa was figting a fellow title holder and this was considered somewhat of a test for him so he needed to look impressive.

Pac on the other hand was coming off multiple fights with Morales, MAB, JMM and was already a 4 weight world champ. Solis was a tuneup whom he wanted to test moves on.

You can tell in the beggining Pac was trying to figure Solis out, trying moves, after the cut you can definitely see a different tempo in the fight. In fact, after the cut where Pac started to go for it, he pretty much KD Solis straight away.

Solis was in the ring with both, he would be a better judge, but his judgement maybe slightly off as Pac & Gamboa went in there with different mindsets. Solis may remember Pac's punches not doing too much damage in the early rounds whereas Gamboa went for it straight away.

God Gamboa vs Pac at 130 would have been messy. Both blazing handspeed, combinations just going at it. Cant see Pac backing down from a war either.

I'm sure Gamboa hits harder, but pacquiao hits pretty hard too. And he doesn't stop hitting you.

Of course Gamboa's gonna be the harder puncher, Pac is coming up from like 96lb lol.

Just seen the fight there. The 3rd and 4th knockdowns were great.

    Solis fought pre PED Pac.

Just playing - I really don't think Pac is using.

You're exactly right though - Pac today is different than the Pac Solis fought.

Oscar also said that Pac doesn't hit hard.....I guess PED doesn't increase punching power.

pac was toying w/ solis trying out some new boxing skills he learned during that time until he suffered that nasty cut due to a headbutt.

it then took pac less than 2 rounds after that cut to KO solis.

this shows that pac could've KO'd solis in 2 rounds if he "stepped on the gas" from the start of the fight and not waited until he got that cut.

Well I do think Gamboa has more power, pacquio his hard enough to make you cry and throws a lot those, Gamboa has more speed but Pacqio speed is right up there too.
