**** all u hating ass no logic having lil girls.

1st.) gamboa was on a 15 month layoff.ring rust and timing is most affected.

2nd.) farenas is similar to salido,.when gamboa beat salido it didnt look like he was a good fighter,.then salido became champ again knocking out juanma and others.farenas is very underrated,& prolly future champ.

    3rd.) farenas was a 3 week notice substitute. 3WEEKS!!!
gamboa only had 3 weeks to prepare for a lefty.

4th.) 99.9% of the boxers farenas hits with that left hand bomb he hit gamboa with puts them to sleep like jmm did pacman.FACT.
gamboa displayed a greta chin.he has never been down for more then 1 second.

5TH.) gamboa has the potential to kill every1 in 1 round,..so u put a high expectation on him and when he doesnt u think it looks bad.

    6th.) farenas only hit gamboa 86 times!,..in a 12 round fight!!!!
gamboa has no defense??/..lmfao!! and gtfoh!
so i guess the 250+ times gamboa made farenas miss means nothing??
    hahaha

finally dont fall for the bull**** that these nerds and haters and cuban haters got 2 say.
just cause gamboa didnt finish him in 1 round they gonna talk ****.

considering all things,,gamboa did great,.going 12 rounds with a hard punching lefty after a 15 month layoff and ate a shot that was suppose to kill a mofo.

on top of the cuban haters and bitches on this forum
throw in that the *******s are in full swing since he got his **** pushed back.
they will be attacking gamboa in true *******s fashion.

**** all u haters.keep hating as gamboa keeps winning.

dude take off the rose tinted glasses. Gamboas my favorite fighter but he looked bad last night, no ring IQ in there, no idea how to apply the right kind of pressure and he looked slower and more tentative than he ever has. Could be ring rust for sure and I hope that's all it was. I'm not about to say he's past his prime until I see a couple more fights after his return but that's what it looked like last night. Again, ring rust could have been the main reason for his performance last night and i hope that's all it was.

    Broner destroys Yori.
Gamboa needs to relinquish his interim belt and drop back down to a weight that suits him.

pary of me is thinking that he is getting some rounds. but he was always there to be hit by farenas with straight shots. and when he tried to swarm him like he usually does with other opponents, he was turned back by some counters.

It was a bad performance by gamboa. He was playing around way too much in which he was thinking (i'm just going to mess around because this is too easy) and yet gamboa got caught with a counter shot that had gamboa hurt when he went down.

    Bro,..do u know boxing,..???

Just cause it wasnt a 1st round k.o. Doesnt mean it wasnt great.

    He showed a great chin,
he showed he is a warrior,
he showed he doesnt have 2 be at his best and still win easy.

    After 15 months??cmon
i know that this forum is full of morons that dont know boxing but swear they do,..
But for the few that know wats good,it aint hard 2 decypher.

Have u ever though he was getting hit cuase of a 15 month layoff??
Where the #1 thing affected by a layoff is timing???
How bout farenas is better then u think??
How bout it was 3 weeks notice to train for a lefty, after a 15 month layoff

give me a break with the bull**** and hating.

U ****ing haters are delusional sad excuses for boxing fans.
    Do research and learn something.

He did good but not great. I do agree he was a little affected by the inactivity. He looked in great physical condition. He was quick. He missed chances to finished the guy off. Also was careless and got hit more than he had to. I do believe in Yuri. But last night was good. Not great.

One more thing. The Philippine was better than I expected and came well trained

He did showed good defense. But he got careless at times. It has happened to him before. Cockyness could be dangerous in this game. Can't do that against guys like Broner. First I thought he didn't want to finish too quick to get rid off the rust and show off. But then he ended up having to work harder than expected.

the reason i say great is because off a 15 month layoff,..he was not suppose to do as good.
and maybe not even get up from that killer left in the 9th.

and gamboa did want to go the full 12 rounds to get off the rust.

Much credit to you for standing up for Gamboa. I agree with everything you said ( except for the cursing! ) Let's keep it clean!

Everything said is right on the money but here's my final observation. I do believe that Gamboa wanted to last as many rounds as possible to get rid of the rust as he even said it after the fight. Yes I know that many fighters use that excuse when they can't stop their opponents but Gamboa's case is very different.

15 months without an actual fight is a long time. Training and sparring is not the same as an actual fight and it showed that Gamboa was taking his time in there hitting and playing defence. I believe that if he really wanted he could've stopped Farenas early but decided to hit and stop, practice his defence and get rid of the ring rust!

He should get into the ring as soon as possible now that he just went 12 full rounds and dominated a very tough and ranked contender. It's just too hard to tell by just one fight, let's just wait for his upcoming bouts to see exactly where he is at!

    :good

I dont think he wanted to last 12 rds but i think its good it lasted 12 rds.
Have gamboa knocked out Farenas in 2 rds his camp would be mislead in the areas he has to improve after the layoff. His stamina was still there after a lot of work, and that's good. He didnt crumble after the monster left hook in the 9 rd, and thats good too.He kept moving and boxing the whole fight. Gamboa is back, let the haters hate.
