Very suprised to hear that Gamboa's team pulled him out. What kind of training is that?

Maybe he wasn't knocked down at all, because I read it was at the Mayweather Gym.
For the people that don't know this yet, the Mayweathers are from Michigan and in certain parts over there they have a different meaning for the word "floored" as in the rest of the world. :yep

Seriously though... Gamboa's chin isn't actually made of concrete.

he was obv on the edge of going again and they took him away to save face because if he went down a second time that would be total humilation at least this way in his mind he can dismiss it as a lucky punch but we all know what would happen if these two boxed for real selby would down him inside five gamboas chin cant take them bombs.

Supposedly, Lamont Peterson was getting the best of Floyd in sparring also. In training for I forget who, Floyd was on his knees dry heaving while Baldomir was in the corner in sparring gear, so we have to assume Floyd was getting pounded by Baldomir in sparring as well. Not to mention Spadafora.

    So what's your point?

Being down in sparring doesn't mean much, specially if it's against a very good opponent. Gamboa is known to recover very quickly when down, that's why he is so dangerously.

I just wish we hear from him soon, his inactivity is really hurting him. Gamboa and Rigondeaux are Cuba's best, they need to be fighting at least 3-4 times a year. :good

We're supposed to believe everything Selby tells us? Why? Fighters say ridiculous things all the time. Bending the truth isn't going to hurt them if it means their name is placed in a headline.

For all we know Gamboa could've tripped and fell down. Not saying it's impossible for him to be knocked down in sparring. I would just rather see video evidence before I start pointing and laughing at Gamboa.
