This is the perfect example of hate at it's finest ... :scaredas:

Calling Gamboa slow is like going against the laws of physics ... :patsch

There is a difference between speed and quickness. Pac is fast with 7 or 8 punch combos or flurries like a young Roy or Oscar. Gamboa is quick like Floyd how he explodes with a punch or two so fast it's like you can't really see it without slowing the video down.

Manny by far has the fastest hands in boxing. He literally blinds his opponents and they cannot even see what is coming. gamboa has more of a combination of very good speed and heavy handed power. Gamboa is fun to watch he is great but he has been knocked down several times and can get sloppy and have mental lapses. See how he progresses but no guarantee he will walk over everybody. he is my favorite up and comer but would never be surprised to see him get knocked out when he steps up bigger.

I think he is as fast as Pacquiao. I would say faster than Mayweather actually. However Pacquiao and Mayweather got the best timing in boxing right now

What's impressive to me is not only is he fast but also that he lands with furious power... at his current weight at least.

    :good This.

People always rate a combination punchers hand speed higher than a guy with quicker hands but who tends to pot shot single shots.
Manny and Khan both throw very quick combinations but for sheer hand speed Floyd and Gamboa are quicker.

Gamboa's combinations against Mtagwa were particularly fast. I'd say his combination is just as fast as those.

You could argue that Gamboa, Khan and let's say Berto are the guys with the fastest hands today. On the other hand, excellent timing can match - or beat - excellent handspeed, just look at Hopkins at 40+ vs. Calzaghe early or vs. Pavlik of 17 years younger. Gamboa did time Mtagwa perfectly to finish the job in 2, on the other hand however, many times he couldn't adjust to certain styled opponents rhythm and his fights went way too long given the handspeed and power he posesses (vs. Jimenez, Barros and even vs. 38yo Rojas). Pac is the perfect combination of superb footwork, timing, handspeed and use of angles, Gamboa of better handspeed still has a lot to learn to be the kind of devestating package.

If he is your favorite boxer, and you know about boxing, you should have realized that his knockdowns have been balance related and he has never been buzzed.

Barros definitely buzzed him in his last fight. A right hand from Barros really shook Gamboa up and had him on shaky legs.

This Hook guy is a known Khan hater.

Khan has faster handspeed than Pacman himself, and thats coming from Roach so go figure.

Khan has the fastest handspeed in boxing today.
