Gamboa fighting for 50k

50k?, that's ridiculous.

 

50 bought out Gamboa's contract for 1.2 million from Bob. I'm sure if this is really his purse that Gamboa has been compensated on the front end with his signing bonus.

 

So now its official, hes definatly not part of the money team

Did Curtis also get Gamboa out from under Onerous? He was far worse than Arum cuz he would never be able to get Gamboa to the top and he is by far the most dishonest of all the promoters and it ain't easy to beat the 'King'. That would be the one REAL bright spot.

 

Don't forget 50 Cent paid 1.2 million to buy his contract from Top Rank

Then imagine, for some unholy reason, Farenas manages to sweep the rug under Gamboa.

 

Then Curtis will own his worthless axe forever cuz that debt won't be repaid. I know nothing about this Farenas but wondered if TR was putting in a sleeper they felt could beat Gamboa?

 

I think maybe, hoping that it would be a treat considering Farenas can punch and Gamboa is inactive for a year.

On the other hand, if Gamboa manhandles Farenas, they can just say how good he is in beating a respectable opponent even after such a long layoff.

Yup. Gamboa isn't the problem they got to build him a fanbase anywhere, but Florida. I think matching him with PDL type fighters not a good idea. Gamboa didn't look too good and truth is no one looks good against PDL. Since Gamboa is going up in weight and been inactive for awhile putting him against a puncher not a good idea.

 

Its not khan, dont think gamboa will get brutally ko'd for a cherry picked fight
