It's perfectly reasonable. Like Khan, Gamboa has been put down by nobodies, and Hamed was one of the biggest p4p punchers in the last 20 years. What's so ridiculous about that idea?

About what? Gamboa has no chin, and Naz was the biggest punching feather of all time. Whats so hard to predict?

I was watching the Sky Sports broadcast so I didn't hear Kellerman say that, but I was thinking the same thing when I saw Gamboa showboating. He needs to cut that **** out. It's just stupid when you don't have the resume to back up your showboating.

Alright, I don't mean to say that Gamboa is as good as Naz was, but I think it is a good comparison as far as how athletically gifted they both are yet how they both have something missing in terms of technique.

Never liked Naz much, but always watched his fights. By the time Naz fought Barrera he (although young) was passed his prime and abandoned what once made him so effective.
I cant really see many great comparisons between Naz & Gamboa.
Its after Naz retired that you see how good his record was

    S Robinson WBO champ
M Medina who after losing to Naz won the IBF title twice more and the WBO title
    T Johnson IBF champ
    K Kelly
W Vazquez WBA champ stripped for fighting Hamed
    W McCullough
P Ingle who won the IBF title after losing to Naz
    C Soto WBC champ
    V Bungu

I dont think Gamboa has the same natural power or great timing Naz had, but think Gamboa has better conventional boxing skills

So you think Hamed beat all those champions and became number one at his weight and P4P ranked without ever 'facing a live body'?

What exactly is your defintion of live body if you think the likes of Johnson, Bungu, Vasquez, Kelly, Medina, McCullough are bums?

The good news for gamboa is hes in a red hot division with some excellent names that are either over-rated(john) or on the way down(marquez, vasquez)
which could turn him into a main attraction star in boxing!

He also has lopez which could a multi-fight rivalry to match any in history!!

in the famous words of achilles(brad pitt) "immortality awaits you, take it,ITS YOURS"

people forget that Hamed went down several times(including against Sanchez) but always -like Gamboa- had the capacity to recover and beat the other guy.
there is a difference about getting KO(like Khan against prescott)when you get hurt and cant continue,or go for a full count with glazzy eyes.
Hamed-Gamboa could have been a good fight, but didnt happen and never is gonna happen.Whatever your fantasy tells you, stick with it.

Gamboa and Naz are nothing alike. Naz had more power, Gamboa has more speed. Gamboa however was more conventional and in my opinion more upside.

'Fraid not.Bigger hitter than Arguello,Little Red and Azumah?Nope. And that's just the past 40 years. And even though he fought some a somewhat DECENT group of alphabet beltholders, the first time he fought an elite,he was completely and unequivocally exposed and his power couldn't put away a fellow that was stopped at bantam by Junior Jones.
