I think he's full of sh*t and was paid to say these things to hype up Gamboa. Of course him being a Top Rank lackie helps and gets him in numerous fights with top contenders.
One punch power he's prob right. Gamboa matches or maybe is even fasyer then Pac at 126 and Gamboa throws singles shots whit power while Pac was just so over whelming and also his hard even tho he threw a lot of arm punches. Both are amazingly fast and have power but Gamboa seems to have more..... thud behind his shots. Like those shows you just hear and know the guys asleep even if you did hear it. But I must admit I've seen seen Pac vs Solis(one of the very few fights esp involving a top fighter I havent in the past 7 years) so I'm really not sure how Pac fought Solis and if he ever really sat down on his punches like he does sometimes..... more now then before when he ws fighting at 135 and below. But one thing is for sure at 126 or 130 a wild and lesser verision of Pac that he was back then vs Gamboa right now would be a very short but very great fight with maybe a KD or 5.
And the funny thing is with fighters is when they are lying its obvious. Like when Williams Joppy said Jermain Taylor hit harder then Tito Trinidad..... Yet Trinidad dropped him like 3 times and stopped him in 5 rounds in his prime and Taylor won a UD and I think dropped him once and dont even remember him being that hurt. That's what fighters done when they are lying. They will say the guy he went the distance with hit harder then the guy that KO'd him somehow thinking that makes them look better and tougher. Happens allllll the time. If Solis was lying he wouldve said Pac hit harder and he still went twice as long as he did vs Gamboa and just vs Gamboa it was an off night or he was weight drained ect ect whatever you could tell Solis was being honest and that he really believed Gamboa hit him harder then Pacquiao. Does that make Gamboa better then Pac? No. Does that mean Gamboa hits harder then Pac? No it just means in there respected fights Gamboa hit him with the harder punches. Doesnt mean Gamboa couldve beat or KO'd or even KD Pacquiao or any of his opponents...... Jee *******s get so sensitive over every little thing.
BS, he is 6-1 since his loss to Pac and the loss was very controvertial so SFU, pac didn't do $hit, he even pick up an interim belt, stop diminishing other accomplishments.
Solis was an unknown prospect/suspect before he fought Pacquiao. After Pacquiao he actually made a pretty good career for himself and made himself a legit top 10 maybe even top 5 fighter at 130.atsch And I doubt also that Gamboa wouldve went the distance with a shot Oscar Larios like Pac did around the same time Pac fought Solis...... just saying.:smoke
PAc soften Solis up he was undefeated when Manny fought him. Was younger and less worned out too, it was at 130 lbs BUT I agree Gamboa hits harder than PAC.
Pac Vs. Gamboa now!!! I would put my money on Pac to knock Gamboa out! This fight needs to happen right now!
You tend to remember stuff when it JUST happened. I don't know who hits harder. But I'm just thinking, Gamboa destroyed Mtagwa and Lopez could not do the same, does Gamboa hit harder than Lopez? if you asked Mtagwa after the fight he would probably say yes, he had just been KTFO. But it's not necessarily true. Different styles.
