I can't stress it enough ... I don't care that it was an elbow that knocked him down ... he still left himself open for that elbow and he was getting rocked a few times during that fight ... put him in there with a world class fighter - now or years down the line, he's going to get knocked out.

    What do you guys think???

I think that a fighter can't be alert for illegal punches. But Gamboa still has to work on that D.

Going to get knocked out years down the line... a lot of Roy Jones haters said that... he just made a HOF career until they prooved right! :D Same with Naseem...

Im pretty sure we wont see any improvements on his defense. It sux now and it will always suck. I dont like the way he reacts to being hit flush. He either gets stunned or mad, both with hands on the hip. Like i already mentioned, he is just lucky beeing in a not so deep divison, at Superbantamweight he wouldnt win anything. Im not even talking about Vasquez, Marquez or Lopez, im pretty sure a banger like Ponce de Leon will massacre him.

I disagree ... I think that the way he's being moved along that its only a matter of time.

He was knocked down 3 times already and if it weren't for the lack of skill on behalf of his opponents - he wouldve been finished off.

It's not like 126 is a monster division, his skills could get him off more than once

Yeah but it doesn't matter ... if he runs into a reigning champion - it could the be the end of his undefeated run. He has yet to go 12 rounds ... and he has yet to fight top 5 ranked opponent.

If he fought Chris John, Rocky Juarez, Solido, Lueveno, Linares, Vasquez, or Marquez ... he's likely to get knocked out by those guys.

I couldn't agree more. The first time he gets in the ring with a Top 5 or so opponent, he'll be EXPOSED. Mark my words. :yep

He has been knocked down a couple of times, but, against guys who are unknown by mainstream fans. Somebody with decent power will give him serious problems. There is no doubt about that.

Alot of people don't see it like that ... he's a decorated amateur and he's accomplished alot ... a fighter with over 300 fights shouldn't have to wait until 17-20 pro fights to fight for a title. DLH fought for a championship in his first 11 fights and he didn't have as many fights as Gamboa did in the amateurs.

This guy is 12-0 w/ 10 KO's and he's fought a couple of top 10 guys and has won 2 regional belts.

He's already been on HBO 2 times ... people will start to demand him taking a title fight sooner than later.
