    you are right
and he has massive talent know one can doubt that i know that and i hate him lol but i have realised that he needs to look at manny pac and see the way manny goes on the offense he would be dangerouse if he had manny's style
and what i have realised is he needs to be trained by freddie,
roach is the man that will controle his style but not limit it :good

oh yeah and i hope he gets KTFOed soon

    Pac, complete balance?

He's getting better at it, but he still leaves himself open for righthand counters when he throws that left with zipp.......

Pac is getting better with his balance, but that is also meaning that he's had to tone down his pace of attack to achieve that balance.
The way Pac stopped David Diaz is the perfect way for him to have done so.....he fought at a controlled pace, and achieved the KO over the long haul........had Pac attacked as relentlessly as say 3 or 4 years ago.....it may have left open opportunities for a slow fighter like Diaz to have gotten lucky with a shot.......

.....so yes, Gamboa just like Pac, has to tone down his attack some, so that he does'nt leave himself as exposed.

I will say this about Pac compared to Gamboa.......Pac even when attacking relentlessly, has a better sense of what can come back at him, as so he rarely gets hit with a shot that he does'nt see coming, even in a state where he's offbalance.
Its just one of those nuances that comes with experience.....Gamboa has to learn and keep in mind that the other guy also has two fists to which he can fire.

I think mayweather sr. should train him. Mayweather is a mean muther****er in the gym and don't take no bull****. Plus he can teach him some better defensive skills to go with his speed and reflexes.

I like Gamboa. When he turned it up he was like a ****ing lightning bolt and he has the cuban bad ass in him. They are not afraid to get knocked out trying to hurt the other guy. That is his temperament. He just needs to get trained on when to unleash the fury and to not get rattled if he gets hit with a good shot and just go bonkers on the other guy. More talented smart fighters will bait him in and knock him out. But if somebody is able to control that guy, he is going to be fun to watch.

I noticed that also. That the worst thing a boxer can do. It can lead to a loss of concentration and make him open to alot of punches because he will be pressing because of his anger.

    I was NOT impressed

Pac is getting better with his balance...a lot better than it was a few yrs back, but while he's very open to right hand counters PAC is very fast with his reflexes. He doesn't have the best "D" but relies on his quick reflexes to avoid punches he should be eating. JMM, MAB and EM all had difficulties hitting PAC flush and it wasn't bc PAC was so good defensivly. But I think you hit the nail on the head with PAC "toning down" his offensive a bit to acheive the better balance and footing needed to rally off those combos.

With Gam...he has little head movement and while he's super fast with his punches he comes straight in...no angles or jabs...just straight in with his power punches. On Saturday he faught a guy who should have been starched in one or two...Gamboa delivered but again....it proves that his defensive is not made for the Pro ranks. He's still young and he'll get better but he needs to be brought along just like he is right now....had he been in there with a Valero or a PAC as many before were saying Gam would have had his 1st loss.

I could'nt let your statement that JMM had difficulty hitting Pac flush go......

.....I beg to differ. JMM hit Pac clean and hit him hard and clean routinely, on a round by round basis.
My assertion as compared to yours is that Pac even though he's getting hit and hit hard, he has a very good sense of where the punches are coming back at him.
There are so many instances in both his fights with JMM, where you could see Pac out of position to defend a shot, but he still knew it was coming, and you could see by his facial expression that he was bracing himself for the shot to land.

.....contrary, Gamboa is so concentrated on just his offense, and getting his shots off in rapidfire fashion, that he has no idea when a shot is coming his way.....thus when it lands hard and flush, since he did'nt see it coming, he's effected by it.

For those who say that those knockdowns mean nothing, I want them to take a look at Amir Khan ...

For all the experience Gamboa has - his fundamentals should be top notch ... and his skill should out weight his flaws ... but I don't see that and I think a KO is going to make or break him for the rest of his pro career.

This guy fights with his hands down and nothing has changed this in 12 fights ... I don't think that its going to chance, given that he's accustomed to fighting that way. In the amateurs, he more than likely had more speed and was more aggressive than his counter parts ... but in the pro game there are fighters who are just as fast if not faster and are very strong ... add to that there are guys out there who won't back down from him and won't get discouraged after hitting him with all the got ... they'll just keep hit'n his ass until he falls and doesn't get back up.

Put him in the ring with a legit superfeather and he's likely to get KO'd ... hell make him Chris John's U.S debut and i'm sure that he gets KO'd.
