Never, i never praise prospects as much as alot of fans do...im almost ALWAYZ dissapointed... James Mcgirt Jr...Jason Litzau...Jorge Paez jr...now, GAMBOA is a different animal all together... he's actually more Dangerous than alot of prospects out there...to me he's like more of a young COTTO than TYSON...but the more i see him fight, the more i get this ugly feeling that a JOSE LUIS SOMEBODY is gonna shock him via devestating knockout upset later this year or early next...i had the same feeling with MCGIRT JR...and now, im feeling it with Gamboa....i like the kid, but I feel what I feel and I believe that he's gonna get stopped before he's even a champ....

To be honest, I hope he gets KTFO just so all the nuthuggers can let go of his sac.. I hate it when people overhype a fighter the way they do sometimes..

If you can't accept that everyone can lose in boxing then go by this: "Never, i never praise prospects as much as alot of fans do"

Idiots. You obviously cannot tell a once-in-20 years talent when its right in front of you. So you guys will be rooting against him for every fight, and losing. I hope you put money on the upsets....

As soon as he learns to defend himself properly, he just might do well. But right now?! its a LEFTHOOK waiting to land.

Thank you very much. This ****in Gamboa nonsense is 100x worse than Pavlik fans bragged about & look at the **** we took. At least Kelly isn't some cocky little SOB just waiting to be bent into a pretzel on the canvas.

A once in twenty year talent doesn't get knocked over against Jimenez.. not when he's 26 and as experienced as Gamboa is.

I think people are going to be made to eat a few words by the time this is all said and done.

What i don't understand is how he can be so amatuerish in his defense despite having 450+ amatuer fights and being 26. Is it just pride? Bad trainers? I mean you would think after getting hit flush quite a bit in consecutive rounds, he would just put those hands up.

But let's get real, his raw talents are RJJ like and there is no way to deny that. He's got exceptional talents.

Thats what im saying; and why WOULDN'T boxing fans get excited about that????!!!!! I'm not hailing him the p4p king or anything; just stating that if you watch boxing and have a set of eyes you can see that his potential is insane, to say the least

You're just off on everything, aren't you? Many top prospects have been floored by less than stellar opposition early in their careers, DLH and Whitaker among them.

I will second Jermz's post to cardstars, except I'll throw it back at Jermz and the rest of the detractors. As annoying as it may be now, give it time. Gamboa is a bright star.

Its what the detractors are saying. he is a bright star just getting overhyped. He still needs some work, and prematurely pitting him in with the elites will cause trauma. take out those bad amateur habits first and keep up the good work.
