Gamboa is not a humble kid at all; he acts like a super star. Extremely respectful? No he's not! He's extremeley disrespectful! He also seems pretty dumb, despite the fact he's no spring chicken. Here's what he said in an interview not to long ago: This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected Yeah, what a humble, nice, sensible, down to earth lad, with his massive gold rings and chains, gangsta style and Bentley! This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected Go, Gamboaaa!!!:dead
Nice! :thumbsup Don't change your mind, very decent card. Of course we would like to see a ringside report man! :good
Humble for a Cuban is a whole different story than for any other nation. :thumbsup But yes, he's an arrongat guy in the ring. I just don't believe that the boxers have anything to do with the press releases, they are prefabricated by press guys sitting in front of a PC and this Gamboa interview was first publicated on the Arena website. Let's say he's pretty respectful for the sport and the fans and disrespectful for the opponents and danger. I think he's what boxing needs today. You just can't ignore him. You either love him or hate him.
He's an arrogant and disrespectful guy full stop, BigBone! He talks the best fighter in the world down whilst he's never even fought a B- level fighter himself, in the pro ranks. Just because he's a joy to watch and has amazin skills doesn't mean we have to make excuses for him, as a person, or pretend he's a nice guy. At the moment, he's getting some much needed experience and some incredible levels of hype and exposure and nuthuggery. He will prove good for boxing if he fights the best and doesn't duck his mandatories - we will see. We cannot ignore him; let's hope he will bring us a lot of pleasure, watching him fight and that he will prove good for boxing! I wish him all the best, but worry about his temperament and possibly, his chin. On the other hand, if he has a good chin and keeps his temperament in check, he can go all the way, with his skills, I think.
because he said he doesnt consider Pac the best p4p it doesnt means he is disrespecting him,he's entitle to his opinion.
Arguing Pac is not the best p4p is not disrespectful, you're right, and he's certainly entitled to his opinion, and I never argued otherwise! What is disrespectful is to say that one of the best fighters in the world, a proven, elite fighter who has fought and beaten some of the best fighters of his generation "doesn't have much boxing ability or strategy", "isn't really a quality fighter", and "is nothing special", when he, Gamboa, himself, is nothing more than a prospect, who's never been in with anyone B- or better yet, in pro boxing! http://fightbeat.com/article_detail.php?AT=643 I am also entitled to my opinion and my opinion is that Gamboa isn't just disrespectful but also pretty dumb...
U r entitled to ur opinion and all boxing fans are entitled as well, most of fans believes Gamboa is good for boxing and brings a lot of excitement to the sports...despite his "arrogance"
...myself included. He is one of my favourite fighters to watch. I hope he'll remain exciting when he steps up.:good
People stop complaining on Gamboa. Jesus, I will take Gamboa ANY FREAKING DAY over Chris John as a champion.
Decebal you're more ignorant than I thought. You never read/listened to any of his other interviews except that one??? He is extremely respectful. The only time he said one boxer wasn't all that was about PacMan and that's because he hears everyone talking about him like he was invincible and he was like "is that really the #1 pro in the planet, the one that can't be touched? I don't think so." Plus, you only read the traduction which was more aggressive than the words he used. I'm telling you, Gamboa is a great kid and he deserves what's coming for him. As I said, the only place you'll see him kind of "disrispectfull" is once in the ring, and that's what's fun to watch!!! For the record, PacMan is one of my favorite boxers and he is a beast, but it is true he is not the most technical dude out there.
