Here is the article, posted at a known boxing website late last night. Obviously pulled because of where it stems from.

I was insinuating that the reason it might have been pulled was because it claimed things which weren't true and that someone complained and they had to pull them.

What are you right about? You are right that I misinterpreted the quote, somewhat! I give you that; did so already, before everyone jumped on me for my poor English. No big deal.

What you were wrong about, however, was that Gamboa wasn't being hyped to a ridiculous extent. Even interpreting his statement correctly, my case stands. He is pulling a Froch. i.e. trying to make a name for himself by associating his to that of a big star in an unwarranted way, just like Froch did vis-a-vis Calzaghe.

One: I haven't made a single comment about Gamboa being hyped or not hyped. So how could I be wrong about it?

Two: Froch isn't the only fighter to point out that he wants to fight the champion of his division before he is ready. Nearly every fighter highly ranked does this. Who is the champion at 130? Pacquiao. So if Gamboa, who is rated in the top 5 by a couple of sanctioning bodies, is to call out someone, it should be Pacquiao. It's not unwarranted at all, and is rightly or wrongly the "norm".

Three: You have been extreme lately, simply arguing points of view without looking at all the information. Having a NEW extremist attitude doesn't indicate that you had on OLD extremist view prior. It simply means you have a new attitude and extremist is my description of it.

Lastly: You complained when one of the expresses was removed from this site for NO reason other than someone felt like doing so and questioned it openly. This indicates you know fairly well that posts can be removed for any reason. So it's hard for me to believe that you jumped to the conclusion that the article was removed because it had erroneous information in it, especially when they remove articles from other boxing sites here all the time.

And your comment about me "pit bullying"? Meaning what? How can I bully you on a message board? I hold no power here. Nor have I ever tried to bully you or anyone else, even when I should have in some instances. Amsterdam has recently accused me of being to soft actually.....so I find your statement basically bull**** on that front.

I thought you meant the article was removed from the ESB front page, not from the forum. Anyway...I'll let you have the last word. You've got the bit between your teeth and you're not going to let go, whether there's a point to your holding on or not. That's what I meant by your pit-bullying tactics.

I think Gamboa is "pulling a Froch" in a way very few other prospects out there are, even when they do talk about fighting the Champ in their division etc. You don't. Let's leave it at that. I explained why I think what I do. I don't aim to convince you, necessarily. I made an observation and a criticism. I backed it up enough, for what it's worth. Enough from me on this.

I'll stick to analysis only, from now on. Pointless arguing with a bunch of guys on the internet, and it does waste a lot of time too!

So, you'll be glad to know that from now on, I'll ask questions, post my analysis of fights and that's it...no more comment from me, no more propaganda one way or another, no more trying to influence ESB opinion about one thing or another. Too much agro for naught. It only starts pointless arguments. I let everyone get away with murder without blinking from now on!:yep

Gamboa was an extremely successful and experienced amateur fighter+he has the outstanding talent to reach his goal on the fast track.
Besides his promoter Oener doesnt seem to think that highly of careful matchmaking.One of his boys,his heavy weight talent Konstantin Airich,is scheduled to face Danny Williams in his ..............9th pro fight.Amazing ,isnt it!
I for my part wouldnt mind watching Gamboa take on some durable and good journeyman before challenging one of the reigning champs.
