he is pretty damn good. I love his combinations. I believe in the later rounds he threw something like a 20 punch combination....
:yep The argument is word for word what we have to use to try to reason with posters about Pavlik's chin.
He was definetely hurt enough to the point he had to back down and get some rest in. If it was simply a flash knockdown from being in a bad position, he would have jumped up in fury and laid it on Jimenez. He didnt, he started backing up and held on everytime Jimenez got in. Thats proof he was hurt enough.
ahahaha no but maybe i've offended our King Amsterdam(who think Calzaghe finish Pavlik under 5:rofl )
Well come on now J, the point isn't necessarily that his chin is weak. The point is that he LET his chin be tested that way at this level of opposition. It happened because his defense is currently very, very leaky. I'm a Gamboa fan, but all of the "next RJJ" chatter has to be put on hold until Ciclon figures out a few adjustments. Griffin aside, it took age, weight swings, and one too many "supplements" before anyone could come close to touching him flush. Gamboa also doesn't have half the destructive one shot ability a prime or even young Roy did either.
Even though I may not look at him like you do, but I've never said he had a glass jaw or was exposed.. I've just been saying for the past month that he still needs more work to do and judging by the fight last night, he does.. A talented prospect yet potential star.. Not a god tho
What i didn't like was the fact that he didn't put his hands up despite getting hit flush quite a bit in the middle rounds. A "smart" fighter would've swallowed his pride and put his hands up. I think he's somewhat arrogant in that regard.
This gamboasexuals are the worst nuthugging sonofabitches this ****ing world has ever produced. He's good but to coin him as god and the p4p#1 today is just plain lunacy. **** these gamboatards!! This content is protected
