It depends ot the present is at whatever time you're referring to. AT this current present, the past most certainly is better. If it's the 1980's WW division and you're saying it's better than the 70's WW division, you'd probably be right. It all depends on what the here and now is, and in our current era, we're definitely inferior to our predecessors.

How can you possible think Pavlik would Knock out Hagler. Hagler has arguably the greatest chin of all time and was never hurt or (legitametly) down his entire career. He walked through Hearns' and Mugabi's shots, two fighters that hit alot harder than Pavlik. This better be a joke.
