Thank you. Just trying not to completely hate on other fighters because that's what they're fans want so they can justify doing it to fighters like Gamboa. Don't think it'll encourage others to buck the trend though :good
EVen though I'm a big fan I feel his career may end up in a similar way to Judah's. Hopefully not, but it's still possible. I feel Rigondeux will be a more consistent performer, Casamayor turned pro late and finished late, I feel Rigondeux will be moved up fast and remain at the top of the game until his late 30's. I honestly feel he will turn out better than Gamboa, based purely on amateur fights. Gamboa fights pretty much the same way in the amateurs as he does in the pro's/ Rigondeux's southpaw counter-punch style doesn't sound very professional (or exciting) but his power, timing, movement and toughness are. He reminds me of Casamayor in a way, but with serious power.
The one i really think who will be respectably good is Lara. Great Defense. Great Technique. Good Power. Good Discipline.
Hatton has been sparring him in preperation for Pac. How Hatton lasts in there with Lara I don't know. Luis Garcia is being hyped too, appaently he's awesome. The next five years could be Heaven for genuine boxing fans :good Everyone will have their own favourite.
Yea, atleast Lara will be getting some good tips from Hatton and his camp :good. I haven't seen the other Cubans in Europe, but i heard they're good.
That seems like a good trait to me So what you are saying is he wont hype himself by destroying **** fighters but when he gets in there with someone good he will be his best... no probs with that hre
Gamboa has no inside game, he lacks ring generalship, he has heart but his whole technique revolves around handspeed, i'd like to see gamboa does against a real tough contender like juarez if he beats juarez soundly i'll never doubt him
That is why u got to love him. He is flawed as fighter, but, he makes it exciting. U can't count him on one fight alone. He has been pretty exciting so far. It would be great to see how he does when he fights top fighters. His defense has approved. I think he could use a better trainer, though. Too much talent to let it all go to waste.
The hard part was to control Gamboa his corner told him in Spanish after the stoppage he learned more in this fight than all previous they are teaching him patience and discipline, This kid got all the tools.
