Gamboa is better than Lara from a P4P sense, but last night wasn't the reason; he just IS. Gamboa's attributes that he has are usually once a generation. Speed, power, skill, and ferocity together aren't very common in the way that Gamboa has it. Once he gets back in the ring, we'll remember just how good Gamboa is.

Both Gamboa and Rigondeaux are Cuba's best with Lara in third place.

To me Gamboa still appears to be trying to sort out his style so he's not too aggressive and not too defensive- Lara seems much more put together to me. But I agree that Gamboa is better overall- not hugely so though.

It was a good peformance but at one point Hernandez's face was cut and he looked tired Lara shoulda stepped up and gone for the stoppage but instead he cruised

How many rounds did you give to Hernandez hater?? Lara pitched a virtual shutout, i gave freddy the third round and so did the showtime cast. Get over your self, your fear of Lara facing Canelo makes you look like a *****.

Gamboa has always been beyond Lara and he's beyond Rigo too until Rigo proves otherwise vs a top oppoenent. Gamboa is deserving of a top 10 p4p ranking for both skill and resume. Rigo is top 10 skill but no resume. Gamboas the best cuban, he has that rare X factor, the type of guy you watch just know is special. I called him future p4p #1 years ago in 07 during his FNF debiut and have followed him closely ever since. First fight I ever saw of his had me and my bro losing it as no one impressed more since a young mayweather

Gamboa has those tools and athletic gifts that take you to the next level with his speed and power. Lara is still a bit "vanilla" for me, if you will.

Like Devon Alexander for instance. Good boxers but will most likely be a notch below the ELITE of the elite.
