experts are not even sure if he is going to get a shot at john/gamboa wba hasnt decided yet but even if he was gamboa gets time is not like he has to make those mandatories defences every 3 months they give him time to do that

You forgot Chris John is the regular WBA featherweight champ... Gamboa is just an interim champ... That's not a unification...
